My hope is that Microsoft is sick of the dumbass names like Xbone and the turn 360 degrees and moonwalk away memes.

They really dont want to have a lower number than Sony (they feared memes like PS3>Xbox 2 because 3>2). So just internally consider the One X their fourth Xbox machine and call their upcoming console Xbox 5. But write the 5 as a V so it could be abbreviated as XBV.

Likewise, as others in this thread pointed out, Super Nintendo Switch is the perfect name for the next Switch.

Next gen will be SNS vs XBV vs PS5.

Just stop with dumbass names Microsoft, keep it simple.

Is it sad that i would totally be okay with Xbox 720? I mean at this point why not? Personally, id rather microsoft start naming with actual names instead of numbers. Xbox Scarlet would have been great. The 360 was a popular console, though, so going back to a continuation of that naming convention wouldnt be a bad thing. People are already familiar with it. Xbox 6 is just lame and i think MS would be smart not to have any similarity to what Sony does.
