I don't play on PC so maybe I don't see the difference but on pro and on my 4k tcl it looks sharp and colorful.

I haven’t tried it on my tcl 6 series but I’m using my Sony XBR and it looks just like it did last time. Blurry mess. But the audio is amazing.

Matchmaking is crap as usual. Enter in a match with 10 seconds left to end many times. Nice job.
Blurry? Looks really sharp and clean on the Pro on my 4K TV.
High end (expensive)TVs usally doing their job right and cover some of those problems.

Yeah I put it down to that.
Looks kinda blurry on my brothers Pro and the difference is the TV.
I forget how good Sony's X-Reality Pro engine is and take it everyone is seeing the same quality picture.
Question is, is that the game's fault or the users TV to blame.

A TV over-processing an image is not it doing a good job lol. Ideally, a screen is calibrated and showing what game developers and filmmakers see when they work on these projects.

My monitor is calibrated and MW looks very soft due to the method of anti-aliasing used.

I never have any processing on. Visually or Audibly. If the source is shit I would rather deal with that then add more input lag or anything else that are added with this extra features.

I think this game is coming across to people visually depending on how much they pay attention to graphics. It’s not going to matter the display unless they are running a low resolution. Seems like this game has blurry textures at the moment at 4K. Could be fixed later but I’ll end up playing on pc anyways. Or could be using TAA which blurs things horribly.

Yes and eyesight could also be a factor. I know, I used to think I had perfect vision because I saw everything clearly with no blurriness. It wasn't the case at all. While I see well, it's like I was seeing everything in 720p so when there were small details in the distance I couldn't make them out clearly, but then when I got my glasses, it's like I could see in 4K. The leap was huge. The amount of detail I can see with my glasses on blows my mind sometimes. And one thing I noticed were games that didn't seem super sharp to me suddenly did.

I don't wear my glasses going about my day because I can see fine and they're a pain; I only put them on when I need them to get that visual boost: (gaming, watching TV, driving, etc...)

I haven't played COD since the first Black ops.

I'm really enjoying myself with this game. I love the nighttime maps with the NVGs.

Looking forward to more.

Only had one map that was night time but thought it was awesome. Is it just random?

Depends. Sony Bravia TV engine (X-Reality) really make miracles, but sometimes the game resolution is so bad and the TV more make trouble than help.
IMO I prefer to blame first the casual user and next the games. I played on my cousin husband TV Horizon Zero Dawn and Jesus Christ... he play games online like CoD Infinite Warfare on a TV using the 'vibrant' equivalent. As a TV expert myself, I can't force people to agree with my callibration + game mode. Even my brother sometimes complain about the callibration I had on my 4k Samsung TV. My dad had two Bravias, one of them is my old full hd Bravia with is one of the best 1080p I ever had, but he keep watching content in 'vibrant' options.

In this game in particular, I guess is really the game faulty. The CoD engine is making everythink possible to try to sustain 60 fps.
My recomendation for CoD is put game mode and if you're on PRO, force to 1080p. Probably is the best option for multiplayer... at least in this beta. Dunno if final build will be the same.

My sister has Samsung and my god reds pop in purplish red and stand out like someone has just increased the contrast of red on the screen and it's running in high refresh rate
And they don't see the problem!

Played a bit more... I think I am gonna shelf this till next week to play on my PC. The frame drops, the ugly graphics, and... THE CONTROLLER are all too much for my feeble mind to handle

Gunfight is back. The gfx res increase over the Alpha is very obvious on Pro. I think the FPS have also been improved.

Looks great.

Monitor vs TVs? You first mistake is using 'monitor' in your comment. Your second mistake is thinking about 'everyone' or 'most' using game mode ON. Most of the high end TV users don't even use game mode, with is a shame. They usally ignore all those callibration recommends and choise what better options will be pleasure for their eyes. If you take this at consideration, YES will improve image quality, NOT necessarily 'graphics'. Monitors don't have picture chips like BRAVIA/SAMSUNG/LG or just a picture processor for filter the image before display on the screen... So I don't get why bring to this.
Mind you that even with a good anti-aliasing solution don't translate to a 'no/little blurry' result, when you combine agressive dynamic resolution plus reconstruction tech.

Realism is so good, I was hating the beta at first but unlocking ghost to deal with UAV's and Realism mode got me super hyped for the game.

Yeah I just watched Matimi0 on twitch play it. The mode looks great! Hope that it maintain a high enough population come launch.

What about all my other crisp games me and my tv have no problem with displaying. Plus it will be interesting to see if its sharper on my X next week or even the final games on both consoles when full version on release. Will you blame the user and tv then ?

Yep that reality engine on modern Sony is quite something

First CoD in years that I couldn't stop playing. I don't really have anything to fault. The night map game mode was super fun for me too which I didn't expect, you need a completely different mindset when playing it.

Looking forward to the second week and the launch. Not looking forward to the MTX. I hope they are handled well and not like BO4 otherwise It will kill the game for me.

I don’t remember being this surprised or stunned by something that happened in gaming industry. Last time I played CoD was, what, 10 years ago with MW 2. Everything that came after was trash in my opinion. But now this!

For regular CoD players, did they hint they were going to do something like this? I really wasn’t following any CoD news for years. It came out of the blue, literally.

Day one buy for me if there ever was one. They really made CoD great again, amazing.

Played a bit on base ps4 and the graphics are very good but the image is quite blurry. Going to wait and see how it looks on X before I buy. Gameplay is beyond solid

It’s so good my desire for a MW2 remaster completely evaporated. What a quaint notion that was.

We need a MW Battle Royale. Let’s hope it’s not too far off after launch.

Had a blast playing the beta this weekend. I've bought every CoD and have been disappointed in almost every one this generation.....but this, this game feels.....

Hate having to wait nearly six weeks for the full release.
do not forget ps4 is also part of the 19th-23rd beta weekend as well.

I played the 6v6 playlists exclusively towards the end of the Beta and it's official - the spark is back. I'm obsessed with CoD again.

I enjoyed my time with the beta. i am getting the game.

But after playing, it's obvious to me that this isn't a competitive platform. More a fun fuck off game. All that matters is fire rate of guns. The M13 will poop on the AK because fire rate. Negating all the other stats mostly.

Add to it that many off the guns seem to have more visual recoil than actual recoil, many of the attachments you unlock to manage that recoil feel hollow.

The problem with the M13 is that its accuracy is tanked where as the AK-47 has better acc and stopping power. But if you can control the acc on the M13, it's a hell of a gun.
