The gameplay is solid. I've also not had any audio issues.
Instead I've had my ping spike from ~30-40 to 200 for no reason. It might be my temp setup causing it, not sure. The interface is also quite annoying at times.
naa the ping thing is glitching and showing weird numbers. i've seen it say 800 and then also say local client ping like if I would be in a bot match randomly.

ye my highest game was 57-6 in tdm against a whole 6 man pub stomping clan named peen. most of the kills were from a vtol jet though.
A few other games have been in 40's havent been able to get nuke higihest kill chain has been like 14.

How to easily identify blatant hackers snapping to players through walls in the kill cams, tracking you through walls in the kill cams. the hardest ones to spot are silent aim users however they tend to get a lot of headshots back to back to back. because the bullet travels to the head. even if they are off shot u could see them aiming at the body the recoil doesnt kick high enough to get a registration on the head hitbox the bullet will magnetize to the head. sometimes their reticle will become erratic too like in games such as titanfall 2 or even apex legends.

why is cod attracting hackers, it usually doesnt have an active anti cheat, this was when they put games out on steam they implemented and old valve anti cheat and never really updated it. they also rarely ever update the security files allowing for rop exploits like rce. Idk about blizzard anti cheat but I would say I have come across significantly less hackers on black ops 4 I could count them on 2 hands. just applying cheat tools doesnt solve anything with out manual reinforcement. They don't use any form of drm like denuvo which could move registers around in the memory on the fly instead of keeping them in the same spot. Adding a drm at least on the mp side could prevent access for at least 90 days. they leave the admin functions in the game and people figure out how to access them with an external tool. everything is already in the game people are just accessing them. silent aim is just aim assist they can tune up from low to high.

I will add one more thing a couple users in the black ops 2 community also have files that can turn recoil off. I assume it was limited to this game as I've never seen it show up again in releases after the fact.

So is this back to enemies showing on your map at all times now?
So this is where cross platform is "dead on arrival" especially PC scum exploiters? Safe to say and avoid headache by disabling cross platform lobby's? But I really want to play with PS4 broskis 😞 ( and they won't allow you disabling individual platform..yet , I hope)

Edit: I'm on the X

I feel the same way. I'm on Xbox One X and while I'm happy to play crossplay against PS4 peeps I don't want anything to do with the cheating master race.

Played a bit more. Reached lvl 20.
The map design in general seems alright but Grazna Raid is awful. For example, on Headquaters there's a site where one side has complete vision over that site from multiple angles while the other has to either enter the building or go around into the street. Either way, you're walking into sightlines.

No. They only added the minimap to please the whiny crybabies on reddit and twitter. You are still not visible on enemy radars when you fire a shot. Unless a enemy uav is up, of course. But for that, there's the ghost perk.

Wow wtf... I expected good performance from my kids Ryzen setup but having sold my own gaming system last year I hobbled together my system with spare stuff and I'm really shocked at the performance.

i5 6500T(2.5Ghz!!) 8GB 2133 DDR4 and a 4GB RX 570 and I get 60(I capped it) on a mix of normal and high at 2560x1080 100% scaling. At 60 fps I don't max out the CPU either.

Gears 5, Horizon 4 and now MW have been really good for me, at least on the CPU side.

I think it's time for Call of Duty and myself to go our separate ways. TTK isn't an issue. It's the random movement that leads to several minutes going by without feeling like anything has taken place that concerns me. It's just a game without purpose. The spawns are still atrociously bad.

Holy cow, I did not realize that they turned Ground War into a battlefield experience. I absolutely got wrecked since it plays so different from regular game(it obviously has to). I feel like I just might end up picking this up after all. Cross save worked... to my detriment since I played this on PS4 first and hate my PSN ID

Pretty good output by COD. I used to be a massive fan from the original Modern Warfare right through to Black Ops. Haven’t played since then as I didn’t enjoy the futuristic stuff.

It’s a solid game I’m just not sure I have the time to get involved in multiplayer. I was never really that good and 10 years or so has not been good for my twitch reflexes. I suck at this now and my eyesight is not what it used to be either! May pick up later down the line for a go at the campaign and casual multiplayer. I used to love them prestige’s.

a lot of recent games have been offloading certain things from cpu to gpu.

cant say the same for black ops 4 though that shit was 96-100% all the time something is clearly going wrong with their build of the engine.

What is this stupid rotation system and since when has it become the norm? The 2vs2 mode is an absolute lighthouse project for this game and it is not "rotated" into the open beta, in favor of night mode. Like why? Who took this decision and based on what? We were all waiting for the 2on2 mode and now we are not able to playtest it in an open beta. Really depressed by this "ROTATION" format that COD games bring on the table. They messed up Blackout 2on2 as well by rotating it out from PC "in favor of other modes" I am really getting depressed and salty.

If you ask me that map only works for the 10v10 mode, where
people’s attentions are more often divided. On 6v6 it is too easy to manage the enemy’s position and thus whoever gets to the good spots first will hold them indefinitely.

For people who don't want to download 42 GB just to test their machine's performance, we have this now.

It's obviously in No Russian but the graphs speak for themselves.
My 1080 Ti has no problems locking 60 fps still in 4K which is all I care about.
Quad-core CPU's are literally dead at this point, you need a minimum of 6 cores for this game. Even 8 core CPU's are well-utilized it seems.
The IW engine doing work in this game, looks great and majority of GPU's perform well with proper settings.
They did not test RTX as far as I can see. Oh well.

I cry about SonyGaf from my chair in Redmond, WA
If we get to level 10 in the beta we get a shotgun skin. Do we get anything else if we progress further?

Never been an online COD player (except a bit from BR & Zeds in 4), however, I always enjoyed the solo campaign. I was really surprised by this one. I really liked it.
There is one thing that still worries me... This Activision patent. After seeing that players can see and try to copy the loadout of the person who last killed them made me remember the abstract from the patent.

I can't wait to see what happens when microtransactions will be introduced sometime after the release and if they do use this new kind of matchmaking.

Awful game. Deleted the beta. Played it on X.

- I thought every preview player said the graphics are way better? Not really. It looks better since the visuals have more realistic earth tones than rainbow colour Black Ops colour pallette
- Finding a match took forever and our party couldn't find a game for 10 minutes
- 32 vs 32 Ground War plays on a bigger map. Not only did it crash halfway through the game, but the map is too small for 64 players. It's a clusterfuck and the frame rate drops to probably 15-20 fps. Have fun trying to find spots where it's 60 fps. I find this amazing since Black Out mode ran pretty smooth on a huge map in Black Ops 4...... then again you never had 30-40 players concentrated in one area
- However, standard TDM and HQ modes with small numbers of players plays fine
- When the game is playing smooth, the gunplay feels good, though LMGs too slow and clunky. Don't bother
- Pressing LB to toss some left-handed grenade is like Jay Shroeder heaving a ball in practice 90 yards. It goes farrrrrrr.....
- Maps are rat mazy with where there's almost always a few directions someone can get you
- Night Vision mode is cool, but you can't ADS unless you take ff goggles which is pointless. Probably the best mode of the game
- The lobbies look retarded as you have a bunch of the same character models all walking toward the screen. And when you enter the match, only one time did I get some kind of intro (like coming off a helicopter or truck... I forget). Every other time I'm already on the ground, and other teammates are flying in? It's like the game intro can't handle all gamers coming together
- The first time booting up a game when it installed, my Xbox X fan shot up like it was a space shuttle launch. Never heard it that loud before and thought it might screw up my system. I exit the game back to the Xbox home screen.... relaunched the game and everything was fine
- I have all my user settings set at friends only. Yet the first few games I played with total randoms, I was getting people on chat. So this game seems to ignore your Xbox user privacy settings

on PC the game lurches whenever I spawn and the camera enters the character, every time I think it will crash, my improved K/D really makes me think I'm a secret mouse/keyboard warrior after all, and this is with dealing obvious hackers with aiming that snaps to my head and kill screens that are pure white from my flashbang and they still get me faster than I get them, either way I went positive and I haven't done that on PS4.

Ground war on x1x played ok....booted up ps4 pro and tried to party up with some Xbox buddies.....atrocious lag and jitter

I think the crossplay needs some work on the ps4 side.....seems to be perfect on x1x but everyone I tried on ps4 to party up it was shit

They increased the level cap to 30 and added 2v2's btw.
I was getting some really bad sound glitching and I don't know why. Apex Legends levels of bad.

Yeah, still not for me I guess. Feels clunky like BF and it's a hell of a lot uglier than expected. Also, there's no "feel" to hitting enemies. Oh well, back to not hoping for much from COD.

Did a few quick matches, and also tried a Ground War but I literally couldn't go anywhere away from the spawn without instantly being killed because you're seriously cramming this many players into this tiny a space? It runs fine, averaging 65-70 fps in 4K with all settings maxed but obviously no RTX on a 1080 Ti. Is RTX even enabled in the beta client? All I really wanted was to test performance, not really into CoD MP and this beta didn't change my mind there. I should be good to go for the SP campaign though haha.

Couldn't find any settings for RTX in the options.

Good to hear a good PC rig runs smooth.

On Xbox X, you'll be lucky to get 60 fps 10% of the time. Without a DF or NXGamer test, I'm still confident the frames drops to the 10s and 20s when too many players are crammed in the same buildings.

I actually enjoyed this. Haven't played a CoD game in ages since I'm more into Gears. But I had more fun with this than Gears 5. Maybe the novelty will wear off. Or maybe it won't...

i'm quickly coming around to this, it's not perfect but it functions well as a COD reset with significantly better movement systems

running around, sliding, mantling, mounting (leaning), peaking, so on all works well together

I'm finding it incredibly frustrating. I get a kill and there's always someone there to mop me up. I'm hoping they include a hardcore mode as that was my bread and butter back in the day....right now it feels like complete mayhem to me.

edit: Playing on PC and I can't add my friends activision accounts. Says friend request failed to send? Worked on Thursday.

You’ll get used to it. Maybe a stim will help you

But that’s CoD anyways

Ghost perk could also help.

That's what happened to me last night, spent 30 minutes and couldn't load anything. Fan was going nuts and kept crashing.

Just fired it up tonight on the X and while the fan isn't going quite as crazy, I can't get into any matches. Goes to a black screen that says BETA and then kicks me out to the Main Menu, saying it can't get a secure connection to the host.

Never had a problem like this before with a Beta before, but guess I'm not missing much.

I used to play Call of Duty a lot years back. I haven't been into it since Black Ops 3, and that's even after skipping Ghosts and AW. WWII wasn't bad though.

You aren't missing anything.

If you really want to see crap performance, keep trying to get in a game and choose Ground War.... 32 vs 32.

There are times you can count the number of frames when there's too many gamers bunched up.

Why I don't game on PC..... one of the many reasons.
Not saying PC gaming is bad, just doesn't suit me.

I’ve played a pretty unhealthy amount since Friday. Really really loving it. Gunsmith is awesome and I like how they are working gun upgrades and perks. Got a pretty deadly pair currently at like level 30 each.

I may actually just stop playing until release.

Ground war is fantastic, bouncing between sniping and IFV's is very fun. It's like Battlefield but with better fundamentals and gun customization. Destructability is unecessary imo. Just need to turn off most of the radar rewards / streaks.

Dice should be shitting bricks right now.

What’s your most used weapon? Mine is between the M4 and MP5. Now trying M13 and it’s alright, Oden hits HARD but unfortunately the rate of fire isn’t good.

I don't know if I like the game, the gunplay is really satisfying, probably the best guns I have ever used in a game.

However, the map design is underwhelming, the maps feel cluttered and small, the spawns are absolutely terrible, the hit registration is still incredibly bad, probably the worst I have seen in a game and honestly, the game is full of campers, I mean full of them, that's the winning tactic in this game in all modes, even gunfight.

The spawns essentially amount to getting shot in the back every minute, I really hate when I am getting constantly shot in the back, it feels cheap.

So yeah, they nailed it with the gunplay and animations, those things are fantastic but the rest feels like a game that doesn't know what it wants to be, personally I think they should have forced a slower pace to the game like Rainbow Six Siege or fully commited to the fact paced nature of COD and made the maps and engagements around that, instead we have a game in the middle and that's why it's encouraging camping and why the maps feel so disjointed etc.

Ground War shows massive potential though, I Just think the maps need to be bigger.
