the "these aren't real people" thing is a bad counter argument IMO. sex largely happens in your mind. masturbation almost entirely happens in your mind. whoever you are looking at when masturbating, you are almost having sex with them via proxy, or some fictitious way. people like to look at people they are attracted to, unless your job is to watch porn purely for research and without getting sexual satisfaction from it. this makes it extra icky when someone who is as young as 11 or 12 is involved. that is not just bad, that's some evil shit. Kotaku is fucking evil from this point on.
Harry Potter is enjoyed by adults as well and indeed there have been porn parodies, ones that feature adult actors rather than child-size animations. another difference is, they are on sites where you have to pass an age verification. there is an age lock to the content, as is legally required. these porn sites are far more responsible than Kotaku. if only they did game reviews too.
