Pokemon Sword and Shield sold 1.36 million retail copies in first three days in Japan

Latest Pokemon game claims best opening week for a Switch title

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield sold 1,364,544 retail copies in its first three days of release in Japan, according to Famitsu numbers. This number includes physical game copies, download cards, and the Pokemon Sword and Shield Double Pack, but does not include digital sales.

The latest entry in the Pokemon series surpassed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s 1.23 million units as the best selling opening week for a Switch title in Japan.

Switch hardware, which includes both the standard and Lite models, sold 180,136 units between November 11 and 17, which is around the same boost hardware sales received when Pokemon: Let’s Go, Piakchu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launched, but nearly 100,000 units less than the boost from when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched.

Hmmmm.... Not sure if I should still drop the $60. I did skipped on Black and White, and jumped back in to X and Y. Maybe, I should wait for Gen 9?

I don't want to get into an argument, but people have genuine issues with the game.

I respect these people.

I think, early on, there was another group that saw the Dex news, and just decided to launch a full-scale tantrum for most of the year.

I don’t respect those people.

Ah, pity. But hey, at least now there's funding for a version without 600 missing Pokemon.

I'm sure the technology will appear, as if by magic.

I thought the snowflakes were the ones defending it.

The term "snowflake" has lost all meaning, just like "nazi". Anyone has an opinion you don't like and can't actually counter? naziflakes.
