Hello! im dutch and i want to clarify two things!
Van Basten said Sieg Heil , yes, dumb ass humor, but in this context, not knowing his microphone was still on and saying it to the interviewer named Hans Kraai, they know eachother from the various football shows they are in, and Hans Kraai is known for his exceptional poor language skills as english or german. He was basically making fun of hans, not the german trainer standing next to him. Still a stupid WW2 joke (dont mention the war lads) but it made me laugh a little when i seen it on tv (as i am dutch and always stoned riding a bike with wooden shoes thru my windmill country holding a finger in a dyke.)
The media turned this into Van BAsten is a Nazi and should be cancelled. ofcourse.
2. Sinterklaas.
(or blackface for the ignorant people.)
Sinterklaas is a national traditional holiday festivity where children who sing stupid ass songs (stoned ofcourse) receive gifts and presents from a Holy Saint from spain.
This Saint was made a Saint after he RESCUED a ton of slaves in the past. These ex-slaves showed their gratitude to help Sint Nikolaas out delivering presents. They deliver the presents thru chimneys and got covered with dust and crap from that. Im dead serious. u can look this up on the internet.
Then came some multi-colored people along with the media saying.. "thats racist". the rest is history as we are now known for hosting the most racist childrens festivity in the world.

It all started when that woman of the UN started complaining about it years ago; she didn't know the history of the festivity, nor understood it's context. Besides, black people in the former Dutch colonies, like the Antilles, celebrate it also, and most black people brush the hysteria surrounding the festivity off. It seems that the majority of people who complain are actually white. It is something for children for Christ's sake. How childish do you have to be to ruin something like that? If I had children I wouldn't even celebrate it anymore, as it has been politicized, tainted by ideologies.

People NOT getting the context is the problem.
Dutch football/soccer fans players etc have a HUGE rivalry with Germans.
Germans even have a song "Ohne Holland fahrn wir zur WM" (without holland were going to the world cup) when they basically fuck up qualifications etc.

I'm kinda happy they changed Sinterklaas feest a bit for everyone. Blackpiet doesn't have to be totally black if he comes out of the smokestack. I mean why do they need to have red lips, black faces and and frizzy hair? I'm ok with the change but also do not really bother at all because kids love and it's a very old tradition.
