I remember playing TLoU for the first time, "to see what the fuzz is all about", and with all the hype I obviously had very high expectations. But my first real "wow" moment was like an hour into the game, when Joel, Ellie and Tess are trying to get out of the city. It's raining and the player must go through an abandoned bus. Most other games would just mute the rain sounds a bit, perhaps apply a filter. But there, the first time I stepped inside the bus I was just blown away. It sounded so incredibly real, especially in surround. You could just imagine being there. I spent a couple of minutes just going in and out of the bus instead of progressing the game (I guess I'm easily amused).Looks very good/end of gen for visuals, but sound wise, it gave me an orgasm.
ND usually gets praise for graphics, but their audio department doesn't get nearly enough credit, they definitely are top-notch too.
