I think it's just niche nerd circles, as you mention. Even in game stores, people aren't talking about new consoles, just new games coming out for current. Until there's a big public reveal, the general public won't even know new boxes are coming.

Just wow! One of my favorite games of all time, I just can't count how many hours I've spent on that. The soundtracks are insane for that system as well, it was pure sorcery! I've been listening to it a while ago It's strange how an exotic/unfamiliar language didn't stop millions around the globe from enjoying those Japanese games.

Haha. I didn't hate Tsubasa, in fact I loved his determination, smarts and optimism, but I liked Hyuga more. In the beginning he was an asshole. But as the season went on I liked him more. His backstory of course. The hardship. Taking care of his mother and siblings. Having to do nightshifts and studying on the job. His growth. His issues. Etc.

I mean, sure, Sony will reveal PS5 when they are ready, but I don't fully understand their marketing strategy this time. Why did they give us pieces of information as early as October 2019 and why did they show the logo at CES only to maintain radio silence now? They could at least continue giving us some smaller bits of information. I preferred the way they handled PS4 reveal.

What I see in this thread is a lot of "PS fanboys" wanting that a powerfull PS5 be relased, they dont care about xbox or MS. In fact, a lot of them want that both consoles to be very power because is good for everyone.

Well, why not clarify “better”? While the SNES (for example) had the better sound and color output than Genesis, many could argue for a millennia that Sonic or Target Earth/Leynos or SoR was “better” than Mario World, Star Fox, etc.

So what, one of these consoles will probably have a slightly larger “canvas” on which more “colors” or “artwork” can be produced by the “artists” (devs) but it may not be enough to be a system seller depending on the customer. Some don’t care for the superiors in a technical sense, they trust the brand and have absolutely no reason to stop trusting that brand for their hobby.

So, “better” and “shittier” can be relative as hell and I agree, interested parties or persons want a “better” gaming experience and that isn’t necessarily equate to technical superiority though it helps (to some technical extent) and marketing wise lol. What is a “better gaming experience”? Well for some it isn’t even having a high end PC. It’s having a weaker box that can play games and connect to others in a different manner. For some it’s a high end rig, kb+m, you name it.

At this point I’m hoping that we all survive the Chinese Wuhan Coronavirus. I’m upset that China downplayed the situation at first and Xi later sent people back to work too early because he was moaning about the economy. Cat’s out of the bag now, and we’re all going to suffer because of the Chinese government’s complete and utter incompetence.

The entire world needs to keep a firm Chinese travel ban and continue to quarantine everyone that comes down for at least a month. The incubation period seems pretty unpredictable.

I will start saying that I am a proud owner of (PS2, X360, Dreamcast, GameCube, PS3, PS4, PSVita, Xbox One X and a couple more consoles)... I seriously don't understand this excitement about Sony first-party this generation, while I enjoy Uncharted the PS4 games didn't bring anything new (IMO) to the genre. IMO first party devs should have a license to push gaming into new areas. Sorry, but games like SpiderMan, Uncharted or GoW didn't impress me this generation. Yes, these are good games but nothing that would make me think "Sh*t this is amazing". My GF enjoyed games like Detroit etc. but I am not a big fan of interactive movies. I have got Death Stranding day one and got bored pretty quickly. I play more on XBX due to better multi-platforms (got 4K qled tv since 2017) and IMO controller.

I play more on XBX due to better multi-platforms (got 4K qled tv since 2017) and IMO controller.

Truth. I like Xbox for the better tech & better controller. It’s the no-brainer choice for multiplat gamers (especially if they have an awesome TV or display)

I don’t like GoW or Halo. I strongly dislike Hellblade. I like both Gran Turismo and Forza. My allegiance goes with the tech as there’s not ONE 1st party title outside of Nintendo IPs that tugs at my heartstrings. I do like Rare though, maybe they’ll revive a good series like Wizards & Warriors. I’m saddened that Microsoft didn’t let Rare develop battletoads, instead it was handed off to some irrelevant indie team. Just by looking at the Battletoads character model in Killer Instinct makes me depressed about what could have been.
