i must admit i expected gow to be good, but i wasnt expecting it to be THAT good. ive always loved gow games but this one has that something special that very few games have. mgs3, tlou and team ico games. there were several moments in the game that made me go wow i did not expect this.GOW is the best game ever made PERIOD

God Of War is one of the best games on PlayStation. What Sony Santa Monica pulled off on 5-6 year old hardware is next to unbelievable. Having done multi-year projects myself I could totally relate to Cory Barlog braking some tears when he did a reaction video looking at the reviews coming in.

Man everyone speculating on specs...which is what we all want to know but anyone else really excited for BC? This seems like a long overdue feature that has been on PC since...I don't know? Forever? I'm hoping PS5 is full BC with all their previous consoles. Is it going to be software or hardware emulated? Only thing worrying is PS3. I want full hardware emulation giving 100% BC but that's probably unrealistic.
Seems wasted if it's not full BC and like 40% of each system's library. That would mean only the biggest releases get to be put up as BC.

I personally hope Lockhart is not real. Is that selfish? Probably but we all know a weak console is the lowest common denominator in development and unquestionably gimps games. The biggest technological leap is when franchises start dropping cross-gen games and building exclusively on the new hardware.
That's depressing to me because it just gives devs more incentive to be cookie cutter than taking risks with the hardware. You know, real gameplay innovations using technology. The problem is devs these days are all about the cookie cutter and don't care about using the hardware to innovate gameplay. They'd rather just give you something prettier to look at. Great hardware doesn't mean great games but it certainly can create innovation if the devs use it properly. Sadly, it seems this industry doesn't really want to take risks gameplay wise with hardware anymore.
I'm so tired of playing AAA games with shit AI when I can point to splinter cell games 10 years ago that put it to shame. Even games in the same franchise have regressed on things like AI all in the sake of the dev pushing more graphics instead of gameplay evolution.
