Raw speed only (about 5GB/s actually). The SSD patent is talking about speeds of up to 20 GB/s is some conditions and usually 10 GB/s in most conditions.

Wow, that would mean the PS5 SSD might be twice as fast than the SSD of XSX. Looking forward to see the impact of this. XSX is already loading old games within 6s, so even if PS5 is able to do this in 3s, what's the added value really.

He confirm 12 after it came out by warren\WC but before he was 10 Plus for both .

Klee was the first one to confirm 12.1 and RDNA while "MS insiders" backtracked on the 12 number (Tom Warren on twitter) and so far he hasn't been wrong when it comes to specs.

1) If PS5 has reduced number of compute units with higher frequency versus XsX with higher number of compute units but with lower frequency which GPU is better?
2) Is 2Ghz possible now for PS5 GPU?

If PS5 does have same number of compute units as XsX but with higher frequency then PS5 wins.

In the video they say 12.155, so probably the actual clock is 1,826.17 but they said 1,825 because it looks better.

First one is more likely and save bet, but they could both be right. But we can clearly say that these consoles will be so fucking close, that it doesn't even matter. Both of them will run third party with the same graphics settings, fps etc. Maybe the one will have better RT capabilities and better loading times.

The SX won’t have 13gb for games. It will have either 16+4/8 or 16+something else. It won’t limit it to 13gb, it would be suicide, even more so against a higher memory PS5. The speeds are up for debate, yes, but I highly, highly doubt they would be this short sighted but in the ball with everything else, even more so when this is the exact same misstep that happened last gen (banking on Sony only having 4gb, switched to 8gb).

In fact o wouldn’t be surprised to see either console bump that 16gb up even. Even last gen, 2 years ago, 16gb for games was pushing it. I see no reason why a machine that has to last another 6-8 years would be stuck with an such a low figure, when everything else is top shelf. Even more so when you think about memory being so important at such high resolutions (both screen and asset).

Xbox Series X supporting 802.11ax/Wifi 6 is excellent news. But the Series X supporting VR with a wireless Wifi Direct VR headset would be a dream come true.

If Microsoft doesn't want to build a headset themselves, they should atleast partner with either Oculus, or Valve, or both and announce that the Xbox Series X will be compatible with those headsets. Being able to pair my Oculus Quest (and it's eventual 4K successor) with the Xbox Series X would be absolutely fantastic.


A $500 system powerful enough for 4K VR will sell like hotcakes. The Series X has the horsepower to power life like VR environments.
