What makes you think they didn't? Who held a gun to their head?

Is it not possible that MS and Sony just have different marketing plans and are executing them, regardless of what the competition is doing? Even if MS is 10% down in raw GPU compute, they'd have to feel good in comparison to last gen.

if they would have been able to push for 13 then that would have been the advertised number.

all the leaks regarding the higher PS5 dev kit numbers, the ones reaching up to 13TF also stated that dev kits changed their clocks all the time and the hardware got more and more powerful with each new dev kit iteration.

if you now question the possibility of Microsoft literally doing this exact same thing, then you literally also have to also distrust every single leaker who said that Sony is doing that exact thing.

You do realize that a die with 60CU's and 4 disabled is a different die from the one you see now, right? They downsized. It's a different thing.

I think mods should really be cognizant of such trends......The vocal crowd can be sol loud sometimes....actually agitated for a good guy to get banned after pressuring the mods for so long, they finally caved..…..I still remember everytime I opened this next gen thread, Somebody was asking Mod of War..."Why Tommy Fisher is not banned yet"

Didn't follow that part, I heard about some fake controller.....But why exactly did that get him banned, what happened with that.....Wasn't that just some place holder prop controller to signify that he was talking PS5? I've seen people post many mockups of PS5 and PS5 controllers to no detriment, isn't that all part of the next gen fever? What was most important, the specs, he got that right.....As accurate as a bullseye....

If the PS5 was not revealed in PSM or whatever, plans changes, it's not Tommy's fault, the fact that he got the specs right means he is getting his info from a legit source...

They still potentially have a completely different model to unveil (the one that is going to be their biggest seller) and of course all of their launch/launch window exclusives. It might not have been necessary to reveal the SeX now, but it doesn't mean it wasn't their plan.

There is nothing in the github leaks that says the chip has 60CUs

that was a speculation. the speculation was that it has 60CUs and 56 active ones.

but no actual data on how many CUs are on the physical chip were included.
this means the data could have very well shown the full chip with all CUs activated, which again... is what Microsoft does in their Dev Kits.

so again, nothing in today's news disproves the leaked GPU

If it is true then that shows GitHub believers have no ideia how to interpret the data creating fake claims.

Microsoft uses full chips for dev kits. the github leak had 56CUs active, and the final hardware does have 56CUs

can you, with logic not with dumb fanboyism, tell me how this disproves github? especially since this chip is real and it has to be used by MS in some fashion. it had regression tests fitting Xbox One hardware.

why do you want these leaks to be fake so hard? tell me... you junp onto every vague insider info with no question asked, but hard and real data is something you dismiss on a whim

What is the take on this? It is also mentioned in the DF Video that MS analyzed the RAM usage of games on the XOX and that only max the half amount was actually needed to render a scene and the rest was wasted. Maybe the 10-13.5 Gb RAM is really enough, if this thing above works like explained. All my info is second hand and there is chances of something being wrong. Because I can not Verify everything myself in person.

Perhaps Tommy Fisher Tommy Fisher was given bad info with the controller pic and wasn’t intentionally trying to lie to fool you Mod of War Mod of War ot the forum. It could have been an honest mistake.

Also wasn’t there a rumor early PS5 Dev kits having controllers that look like DS4 but had DS5 features built in? Could that be what the pic was?

Agree with you we should be cautious with Tommy Fisher info. He has already shared falso info before. Even if he got Microsoft right, that doesn't mean he is also right about PS5. We also got klee saying TFs PS5 specs are not even close to what he has.
