So I take it only your left thumb is capable of cramping and not your right? For a gibbon.

Well if it will support an assistant it's also always listening, and to work it needs to be always connected to the internet.
Clear answer, I get it, and also that is taken from before with the Novint Falcon

I give SOny they adapted that to the size factor and sleek design though.
The back buttons can replace buttons from the front of the controller. So like on the PS4 attachment, you can set one of the back buttons to be square.
So now, in a game like COD, you don't have to take your thumb off the right analog stick to hit square to slide on the ground. This gives you a nice advantage of being able to continue moving the camera and aiming while sliding, since your thumb never leaves the stick.
And with the attachment Sony made, you can program the two buttons to be anything - face buttons, dpad, ect. So you can really customize it for every game.
That all of this was a huge problem in the beginning of this gen with the Kinect, but now it's all fine. Even though you were also able to turn off the Kinect. Just typical fanboy hypocrisy that I'm pointing out.Which can probably be turned off.
What's your point?
The PlayStation 4 supports some voice commands, but only works when you connect a microphone to the gamepad.I said this in the next-gen thread, but I'll say it here too. Have we talked about the built-in mic and how it makes that patent about "Playstation Assist" seem much more like a real product?
They only mention doing "quick voice chat", but I can't see them putting a microphone in for just that.
I just hope it'll actually be useful and offer some deeper integration with PS5. I like that my Xbox works with Alexa, but the feature-set is fairly small.

Kinect was also an eyesore of a peripheral that was mandatory and had a fucking camera. This is a controller that has a microphone, just like your phone, just like your laptop/tablet, just like your headset.
So again, what's your point? Have you really spent the last 7 years stewing over this?
Wonder if it will beat PS5 Logo reveal @ 5.3m4.2 million likes on instagram..... BEAST!
Is he really arguing about the controller having a microphone ? Didnt go back to see how this started...
My point is still the same. Kinect was supposed to be an NSA spy device back then, well this controller definitely with Sony security is as much a security issue. And I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy, and apparently that's a trigger for you.Kinect was also an eyesore of a peripheral that was mandatory and had a fucking camera. Great piece of reading and understanding from you.I'm sure everyone else shares your concern.
Something about Kinect rightfully being laughed out the door. It was something even Xbox fans didn't want, hence it was quickly untethered from the console.
You don’t use Skype?
The difference is that you can do now whiteout need a headphone.
I'm sure that it's going to be used in more meaningful ways, but I hope it will be optional. It's annoying when I don't care for the gimmicky "feature" in the game but I'm forced to go with it. I could imagine myself using the voice commands more often when I watch movies or something similar.Yep yep! Should have mentioned that too. I hope we get something a bit more meaningful this time. Especially when the microphone is going to be built in to every controller.
It's funny how everyone on social media is gushing over than fan mock-up of the black version, rather than the official colour
Great piece of reading and understanding from you.
No smoking in this house (allergies and asthma), a little sun here and there, when you forget to close the curtains after cleaning the windows, and sweat from hands while playing. When your white objects in your house turn yellow, and i am speaking out of my own experience...stop smoking like a steamtrain
I mean factually there are some pretty stark differences regardless if they are a big deal or not in your opinion.I dont see the controller as a big differator here, its not like this like the joycons.
There basically the same since the 360 pad.
Anyone acting like these 2 controller have much difference have there fanboy goggles on.
There both good controllers, its no big deal.
However i am curious how the DS5 works, I hope it offers something new and cool.
Don't forget the biggest things of all: haptics and adaptive triggers.I mean factually there are some pretty stark differences regardless if they are a big deal or not in your opinion.
Headphone Jack
Light Bar
Touchpad
Mic in controller
rechargeable battery
and we needed confirmation of this because people started a baseless rumor about it, missinformation spreads like wild fires today. The bottom hole it's a headphone jack? any bets?
It hasn't been confirmed that the bottom hole is the 3.5mm jack.and we needed confirmation of this because people started a baseless rumor about it, missinformation spreads like wild fires today.
It is pretty big news, if it works it might be the first introduction of haptics to general public. And might make easier to communicate the kind of things haptic VR controllers can offer.Don't forget the biggest things of all: haptics and adaptive triggers.
If these things work well, bringing it to the masses, it's gonna be absolutely incredible.

Wired article last year mentioned a strange "hole", it's probably a microphone. I'm 98% sure it's a microphone. The 3.5mm jack hasn't been shown yet.
Yep, I know it has been confirmed that there's a 3.5mm jack. Many people still think that hole is it though. Anyway, not so important. We'll see it all in time. Not exactly that hole but it does have the headphone jack, confirmed by Sony Product manager. Also you can find that at the Digital Foundry video uploaded like two hours ago or something. But anyways,
Toshimasa Aoki confirmed it
Personally I prefer the bra meme.Love the design, but what has been seen cannot be unseen:
The Kinect was a gimmick that just increased the price of the system for no reason. And people hated always online because that's how the entire console was at the time...That all of this was a huge problem in the beginning of this gen with the Kinect, but now it's all fine. Big difference is kinect had a camera pointed in your room too, not even sure why you brought this up to begin with. That all of this was a huge problem in the beginning of this gen with the Kinect, but now it's all fine. The original DS was the best though.Eh?
DualShock 4 was a huge improvement over the 3 and this looks like another jump.
Whats this?
