Yep. Though it does make all the console warring and fanboy non-sense a bit sadder when you think about it. But I guess it makes sense as traditional forums are going to be mostly older people who've been on them longer as the younger generations have mostly skipped them and stuck with social media, discord, Reddit etc. So you have console warriors who've been fighting the good fight on forums since the 90s I guess.
Also, I think it's much more just the moderation allowing actual discussion here. From what I recall from my time there polls like this on ResetEra had the average age in the early 30s as well. Maybe more late 30s and above here though which does make a difference as I'm a lot more level headed in my 40s than I was in my early 30s.
Mentally I can be anywhere between 16 and 38 at a given moment.
Joined GAF in 2009 when I decided to largely stop visiting the IGN boards. Was 19 when I first signed up to IGN back in 2000. Will be twenty years this August since I began posting on a forum. Definitely not where I imagined I'd be.
One day forums will probably be something like the bingo club of the internet where the old people hang out.
I'm looking forward to yell at clouds together with you.
