Played a lot of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 with my cousins in a "locadora" :messenger_winking: close to my house. Then got a PS1 and played THPS 4 in it; only got a PS2 in time to play the Underground games.
I didn't arrive to the "locadora" time. I bought PS2 games in that pirate videogames stores (it doesn't sound as bad in portuguese as in english kkkkkkk) for 5 reais or 10 reais. One of them was Tony Hawk 4, I really liked this game, I had so much fun. It was a good time.

Now every game is 200 reais or more :messenger_pensive:

It has to be next-gen related, or else people will be let down. People know now what the current gen is capable of; and no matter the quality of the project it will not wow people in the same way. We need an example of something that can't be done yet.

Super outside the box far-fetched idea. A digital delivery system (new ps-store/xbox store) where you can also sell/transfer/trade your "used" game licenses with the devs netting something out of those transactions as well. The logical next step in phasing out physical.

Likelihood 0.002% but at least that would be teh future.

I see the usual suspects on twitter already saying the new PlayStation Studios brand is the proof that Sony will start releasing it's first party games on PC.
I was also thinking... if first party games will have the new logo, does that mean that MLB The Show (that will go multiplatform next year) will have the PlayStation Studios brand and also be on Xbox :messenger_dizzy: this is the most ambitious crossover ever

At least now there is a somewhat viable video-game market in Brazil, even if it is very expensive. I used to buy pirated too in PS1 and PS2, like most, but felt bad about the developers.

Just been watching PS I Love You XOXO and the following curious thing happened. Greg really panics when Blessing starts talking about Cross-Buy/BC enhancements like he's about to give something away. Anyone any idea what Greg's knows here?

No ideia, but if TLOUS got leaked is easy to presume something PS5 related got leaked as well. They can't remain in silence for so much time even more now with a pandeminc in place.

Nah I think this is in reference to a Kinda Funny Games Daily episode from like 2 weeks ago where Greg and Blessing spent like 30 minutes trying to figure out what Smart Delivery was/how it worked/how it was different from crossbuy. It was actually pretty funny to watch.

Tempering their expectations and his own. The few seconds leading up to it were dreamland hopes of what PS5 BC can be, and both the guys on screen made it clear they're getting too hyped for something that's probably not realistic.

Zen 2 uses separate dies for the cores (each core cluster die is called CCX) and for I/O which are connected through infinity fabric. XSX has a single silicon die, the memory controllers are inside the same die as the GPU and CPU so both can use the same controllers. Wiring isn’t a problem, it’s all the same monolithic die, they are just part of the silicon. All 5 controllers are wired to both the GPU and CPU, just like any other console monolithic APU. It’s extremely standard. When reading from the 10GB addresses 5 controllers are used, when reading from the 3.5Gb addresses 3 controllers are used. Simple as that.
I don't follow what you are claiming about the picture because you didn't answer my question.

Maybe if you want to enlarge and annotate the picture, to label components as you see them, rather than just reiterate your claim about how you believe it will work- which I don't agree with because of Infinity fabric -, it will be easier to discern the aspects we agree and diverge on.

(From my view)Looking at the shape of the green GPU silicon block, I'm thinking this APU looks like a hybrid of monolithic and chiplet design. (IMHO)The CCX modules are modular chiplets only interfacing through the black fabric moat but the GPU looks like its innards are expanding to simplify wiring the various MCUs to the fabric by the shortest distance.

I lived the rental store era till PS3. After that, I have been using my credit card mileage points(Livelo/Latam Pass) to trade for PS4 games since the beginning of this generation, that's how I get some releases day and date. Otherwise, I usually wait for PSN sales. Can't remember the last time I paid more than 200 on a game.

UE5 (if it's just tech demos) would be REALLY underwhelming as a viewer but huge news for devs across the industry. I think that could really be it. Maybe they'll make UE 4.25 free for Indies or something.

I thought it was reported to be free already...just that Epic takes some off the top of game sales instead.

Mind blown 😯

I did not....i had OG PS1 with composite female connectors directly on the system 😉

I could have referenced a handheld with a "brick" but honestly this was low hanging fruit.
Obviously its a special case.

That said the SCPH-100X was amazing .especially the slightly later ones with the Rev C graphics chip. Best PS1 there is.

PS5 “Is A Hit” With The Indie Developers

“PS5 is proving a hit with the indie devs we speak to, as they feel able to deliver incredible results on hardware that’s easy to develop for. Will PS5 bring a return to PS2-era levels of invention and stable quality? I hope so.”

I just realize that Sony is starting to own a couple bit of iconic characters, Jin Sakai already smell the iconic character.

Imo they should start consider making a fighting game based on WWS characters, not talking about that Smash like garbage named PS All Star, but more of something that would have aesthetics of Injustice/MK if it meant to be 2D FG (not sure yet if it should be 1 VS 1 or 2 VS 2), as in the 3D area very few FGs were able to stand out in recent years, but if they think they can do it why not. But as Ben would say: "It won't be easy"
