It must be arduous to navigate a world in which literally everything is racist.

So I’ve lived in Thailand, and admittedly this was 10 years ago but I know enough people still out there to know not much has changed. I lived very well as a white person and thus paying farang price for everything, eating out every day, still saving plenty, on about 35000 baht/month which was about £650 at the time. A Thai will pay less rent than the £100/month my 3 bed house cost, likely closer to £50, though Bangkok will be a bit more, and will eat out for 50 baht instead of 300. There’s no way her expenses in Thailand match his US income. Not even the tiniest hope in hell. Further, if her expenses are that high and he is the main income provider she would move back to her family (Thais just up sticks when they feel like it, employing them is a real hassle) and have vastly lower costs than what I’ve already described.
