I read your post and it is a very well though out and reasonable response. But the people in charge there don’t want intelligent discourse, they want power. And they want it, not by bettering themselves, but by taking it away from others.

I think you're confused on what is seen as an alt account over there.

If you have been permabanned and then make another account, that's an alt account. It's not literally having two active accounts at the same time. Unless there was some kind of mix up and you got staff to make you a new account, then what you did is absolutely against the TOS. That's the guideline you broke unless I'm misunderstanding you here. They don't have bots banning people, they literally won't let you sign up again if you have the same IP as a previously banned account.

That said, your post was 100% on point separate from any of this alt account stuff.

At first making an Alt and posting is no problem on ERA, it also wasn't on GAF back then.

The problems start when that Alt account receives some mod attention.
Word has it that there is a tool they use that cross references IPs used by banned accounts with active accounts.
If they get a match -> you're banned. That's how they know you made a bunch of accounts.

Thing is, they don't run that IP check on all accounts, all the time. That's why you were able to post with your alt for a year. You would probably still have that account in good standing if you kept a low profile.

I hate ERA as much as the next guy, but what you did is OBJECTIVELY against the TOS.
Show some pride and don't act like a crazy ex-girlfriend. They don't want you.

p.s. I guess the only workaround would be to buy VPN and only visit ERA through that VPNs IP.

I don't think you understand what i am trying to say. Alt account is against the TOS. I agreed, they banned my alt account 3 years ago and kept my regular account active. I am not even complaining about why my alt account was banned.

Anyways, few months after my alt account ban, original account was banned for "abusing the alt account" after I disagree with someone. So i just made another account, after few months that also got banned "Abusing alt account". This rat and mouse thing went on for 3 years, at first i thought there was a bot and I was randomly getting banned because of using same IP and got stuck in a loop. But each passing time i realized i am only being put under a microscope WHEN i go against the herd opinion.

Yesterday though, it sealed the deal for me if i even had any doubts about how the site is being run. As i pointed out above, i just stood up against the guy generalizing a race because of few bad apples. People started ganging up on me and I was gone within minutes and remember this account i have been using for 1 year. Reason "Abuse of alt account" . But this time i couldn't let go, so I emailed them and their reply was what i posted.

Here is a work around btw. Make a new account using VPN. Keep using VPN until its approved, once its approved you don't need to. However, as i said once you go against the herd, it will be put under a microscope and you will be gone.

So thats what i mean by i am finally done. If they would have banned me randomly one day stating you made alt account once, its against TOS and you are banned for life. Would have made sense. But the reason i was put under a radar for saying what i said yesterday, really connected lot of dots for me why i got banned the other times as well. So eventhough i know the work around, i am really done. They have no place for different opinion.

I have had alt account on GAF, as you can see i have been with GAF for many years. You know what mods did? they banned my alt account like years ago. And then it never came into question

Just move on. Start with a clean slate and try not to use alt accounts here. It looks like the staff are okay with moving on and ignoring your past history so take it. Regarding setting up an alt account somewhere else, learn how to use VPN.

If you do break TOS on any site, you get punished. What are you expecting?
