I think the Series X looks simple and clean. The PS5 looks like it has a tumor on the side where the disc tray is. Almost looks like they designed the digital edition 1st as the primary model.

Sony's system looks like it's wasting alot of space and was designed by someone who played too many Portal games. The thing is bigger than the original fat PS3. I doubt the design has much to do with cooling, seeing as how we have laptops with better CPU/GPU power that are less than 1 inch in depth.

The design is just screams gaudy, waste of space, and impractical.

Fixed that for you. If the Xbox One X can be silent in its small envelope then this massive VCR sized game console better be whisper quiet. That's my biggest complaint with my Pro and the base model PS4 I had before it. If the PS5 manages to be silent I'll be picking one up in the first couple of months versus waiting on the first hardware revisions.

Definitely prefer the XSX. MS did a really good job considering its nearly 2tf more powerful, quite, and smaller. I think a white XSX would look better.

I've been doing vertical since 2 gens ago and it hasn't steered me wrong.

Take a shelf out of an entertainment center and you get a square box to put multiple consoles in vertically.

PS5 looks pretty cool, I wonder if the blue light will turn on from bottom to top or top to bottom, or all at once.
I like it and when we see the PS button carved into the surfaces it will be great to look at the first time we set it up, then is game time.
