Beastars on the other hand must deep down infuriate some of them because despite predator attacks outright killing herbivores semi-regularly, the anthropomorphic society of Beastars is able to be mature about the situation and maintain itself.

I skimmed the OP, and I guess Nepenthe's problem is more that people hold up Beastars as great racial commentary rather than thinking it's trying to be that? Which is fair, it's not a story trying to tackle themes of racism. It has some themes of prejudice,, but Legosi isn't framed as being unfairly treated in the majority of situations where he is judged for being a predator. Beastars is truly a story about an anthropomorphic world much different than our own.

They have a decent number of registered users, but the number is dropping due to the high number of bans (a lot of people get temp bans and don't bother coming back). Also there are a lot of inactive users or ones that rarely post. The conversations there are dominated by the same few dozen posters, the power posters like Incelchief who post 50-100 times a day and the mods. I have never seen a forum where the mods/admins post so much. It's obvious they are on power trips and trying way too hard to be "personalities". IMO forum mods should mainly be seen when they are doing their "job", not posting dozens of times in threads and obviously either ban-baiting or defending their "pet" posters.

It's similar to what happened here before, with Bishop, Besada, and the Black Culture Thread members policing the tone of the whole forum. Like if you dared to try and provide logic to one of the BCT members like Slayven (a barely literate man-child who is a mod on REEE, L oh fucking L) or Enzom (who was a white guy LARPing as an angry black man) they would run and cry to the mods and you would catch a ban. On REEE, it's the same deal, but it's the trans posters (Incelcheif, KitKat, FeistyBoots, etc.) who are the self-appointed caretakers/tattle-tales of the forum.
