He can blame himself for initiating the whole incident because he is the one that grabbed Ramos, Ramos as a veteran just made the best he can with the situation for himself.
Salah play for Egypt a mediocre team which was bound to be out in the first round regardless of what form Salah was in.
It is a non serious shoulder injury so the default is he can fully recover from it, the way you talk about it I would think this is an ACL injury for both knees.

Again this is a topic we will never agree on I know :messenger_smiling:

Nope lol. But I respect Ramos a great deal. He's a winner, a great player and a very driven athlete. To do it at that level for as long as he has takes something special. I'll never LIKE him, but I do appreciate what he achieved.

How are you feeling about your chances to win the league? Barcelona finally played well today and Real hasn't been setting the world on fire. Is it happening?

These few matches are tough fixtures with a very tough tight schedule with not enough rest time, so us grinding them out with victories pleases me although we are not at our best on the pitch.
Will we win it? we are 4 points ahead with 4 matches to go. I think we can win it yes but it is not guaranteed so I'm approaching it with caution :messenger_hushed:

Also I thought Liverpool are aiming to get 100+ points now? so you have to win at least 3 more out of the remaining 5, I assume you want more to set the record as high as possible.

4 wins in fact to surpass the Man City record (although 3 wins and a draw also puts them at 100 points, but short of the record). Definitely doable, they have Chelsea and Arsenal along the way so it isn't a total cakewalk like today was. Remains to be seen if the team is focused on that, they didn't play like it today.

Today was also an atrocious game for cult heroes Chamberlain and Origi. Both should be on the way out in the summer.

Chamberlain is unreliable, he might be great in a game and disappear for the next 10 rounds. Origi is lost. He can't pass, he can't shoot, he can't do anything. While it's certainly not the feeling of the entire fan base, I've seen some consensus forming about them leaving.

I would be surprised if they didn't aim for it, I'm sure we would if we were in that situation.

Not sure about Origi, but Chamberlain is rumored to get replaced by Thiago Alcantara and that would be a significant upgrade. Fabinho and Henderson are really good passers, but aside from them we have a lot of runners in the midfield. Alcantara would add some creativity there.

Thing is I don't Think Liverpool will get much for both Chamberlain and Origi so whatever Thiago deal will be it will be mostly financed from Liverpool coffers. Unless Liverpool sell other players too.

I think we do have a decent chance of europa league, but too many things have to align to get champions league for it to be a real possibility. Despite us having a really hard run on paper, its beatable. Leicester and Spurs aren't on the greatest of forms and Liverpool is a toss up on if they still care enough.

We'll see though. It's football, anything can happen.

We're on a rebuild under Arteta so rather have some money than no money. So, yes I'd rather have europa league.
Doesn't mean I'm particular hyped for it. Still miss the CL and the EL has given us mostly bad memories.

No European football means players will be less likely to come to Arsenal unless you overpay them to give away their spot light in Europe. So it is more than just less money money to gain but also harder transfers and more expensive players. Unless Arsenal forget about all the mid tier players (and the top tier obviously) and go chasing unknown prospects to build up then battle to keep them if they live up to their potential.

Going down that hole is scary for me as fan to be honest, the club might never crawl out of it :messenger_grimmacing_
I would accept it if I'm guaranteed unlimited spending until we make it at the top again.

Then again I support Manchester United so I really shouldn't be throwing stones from glass houses :messenger_beaming:

It's kinda weird being able to watch matches and feel like football's fun again. The MGM era (Moyes-van Gaal-Mourinho) really took a toll on fans' psyche.

Players like Ramos get branded with labels like being “cultured” or being a “master of the dark arts.” Puyol was a bit like this for Barca too, imo. Even down to off the ball antics like knowing what buttons to push in small confrontations, the little micro fouls and of course if you fail them they roll over 30+ times hoping to get you a yellow card. Really not my favourite style of player or defending at all, but they do seem to become talismans of their teams.

Ramos would need his own team of personal VAR‘s monitoring his every second if he played in the premier league 😂

Navigating out of these types of holes is really hard and require continuous success. Money make it easier but it is not a guarantee but still make it a bit easier.
Remember Real Madrid is owned by the us the fans, Perez is just a president we keep electing so the club does not have a "sugar daddy/mommy" for unlimited funding. Perez loves the club and is dedicated, his heart is in the right place and we know he's doing his best for the betterment of the club. His late wife was a Madridista too and she also asked him to take care of the club when she died not like he needed anyone to ask him to do that because he was and is doing that already to the best of his ability but imagine that.

Ramos is more than that, he is a true leader on the pitch motivating the team and pushing them forward. He does not accept defeat and do his best offensively too, look at his goals especially this season for example :messenger_sunglasses:

Not sure how they're going to do it financially. Klopp earlier said something like yeah we're bringing some players but don't expect anything major. Thiago Alcantara would definitely be a bit major, he could even give Fabinho or Gini a run for their money at a starting job. Hopefully one day Keita reaches that level too, he has shown some great potential at times.

Yeah every winning team has a guy like that, someone who specializes on being an asshole. Ramos on the PL would be an interesting thing to watch, he would have to cover A LOT of ground and backs don't play that aggressively. Ramos has twice as many yellow cards in La Liga this season alone than Virgil got in his FIVE YEARS playing in the Premier League. It would be interesting to know what kind of treatment he'd get from the refs.

La Liga refs give cards much easier than BPL refs, so he would get less cards in the BPL I think :pie_thinking:
and BPL refs know him as they did ref some Real Madrid matches in UCL so he is not a stranger.
BUT he's not going anywhere, he is staying at Real Madrid :messenger_sunglasses:

Fantastic performance in the first half, second half we gone for game management which worked until the Nketiah incident unfortunatly happened. Really should have taken our first half chances, but 1:1 is a fair result and we can now delete CL from our minds which actually might help for Top 6 and FA Cup. Nketiah is young also so hopefully its going to be a lesson for him. (though it happened to Auba as well earlier in the season)


As frustrating as it was, still a much better watch than an Emery draw. No trees today.

Easily the second best front 6 on paper in the league, just gotta tighten up that backline and we're set to challenge.

Greenwood's got promise and poise oozing out of his ears. The kid's got skills. With MGR leading the line next year (or perhaps with Sancho being the lead role and Greenwood being the primary rotation guy) and Brogba pulling the strings in the middle, United could really have something special.

Of course, we saw what happened with Januzaj and Macheda, so I'll try to keep my expectations grounded. Still, the kid can play.
