rather know the frame rate, if its still 30fps on both, the resolution is meaningless anyway
The last time we had a cross gen Far Cry(part 4) the PS3/360 and PS4/XB1 weren't identical in game assets. If they were willing to take the time to do that back then I don't see why they wouldn't do it again.
The PS4 Pro cant do 4K/30 and the PS5 cant do 4K/60. Simple to understand.
People have been saying for months that the GPU is weaker in the PS5.
Weird, I thought the SSD would have solved this issue. I'd expect an entire generation of this.
Hit the nail on the head here.
The game was already confirmed to be 4K 30fps on Xbox Series X.
That 18% coming through.
Are you guys going to just toss reality to ms buying every multi platform game resolution exclusive that’s ridiculous.you can't punch above billions which m$ have. Sony is lesser company. new lows for ubi and m$.
Does anybody really care if the PS5 version runs at 1800p but at a better framerate?
this is why i'm ditching PS and going Xbox. i want the best performance (and yes i have a PC before anyone tells me to get one)
It doesn't? Not according to the thread title. The PR person never mentions PS5 to run at lower resolution but yet assumptions were made. So in essence the PR person may have been mistaken? It doesn't need to say it's different. Cross-gen games have always received graphical upgrades over their last gen counterparts. There is no reason to think it won't happen here. When the PR person said Xbox One, they probably meant the One X, which is able to run games in 4K.
It cant be 4K on Xbox One. I think they meant Xbox One X? Ouch for PS5 if true though.
Weaker than the One X? We know its weaker than Series X, but you want me to believe its weaker than the One X? Come on now.
You're not understanding.Weaker than the One X? We know its weaker than Series X, but you want me to believe its weaker than the One X? Come on now.
Kinda like 1080p vs 900p?
So is this what we are going to get if multiplatform games are better on XSX?, moneyhatting?, shady deals?, but not power?.you can't punch above billions which m$ have. Sony is lesser company. new lows for ubi and m$.

Compute Units (CUs) XSX: 52 PS5: 364k on One X and Series X but not PS5 tells me that the game runs at 30fps on current gen and at 60fps on next gen.
that could be why on One X it will run at 4K (like Far Cry 5 already did)
on PS5 it will run with higher settings and a lower resolution but maybe at 60fps. and on Series X, due to the better GPU, it runs at 4k60.
that's my takeaway from this.
Does anybody really care if the PS5 version runs at 1800p but at a better framerate?
i would not be surprised. m$ roll like that for years. no need to pretend otherwise. Are you guys going to just toss reality to ms buying every multi platform game resolution exclusive that’s ridiculous.
Seems so. Just like the SSD is the new eSRAM.
Well they said targeting 4K 30fps. And no there is nothing Xbox Series X can do at 4K that PS5 cannot do at 4K with slightly lower setting.wait... is that 100% confirmed?
ok, then maybe they push settings way beyond One X on next gen and that's why the PS5 is not 4k?
my 60fps idea would make way more sense which is why I would find it very odd if they truly run at 30fps... like... huh
It doesn't? Not according to the thread title. The PR person never mentions PS5 to run at lower resolution but yet assumptions were made. So in essence the PR person may have been mistaken?
I think Klik may have nailed it.A previous gen console runs the game at 4K, but not a console that has a better GPU regardless. Ok.
What if its 1800p but the same framerate? Does anybody care then?Does anybody really care if the PS5 version runs at 1800p but at a better framerate?
Compute Units (CUs) XSX: 52 PS5: 36
XSX GPU clock: 1.825GHz
PS5 GPU clock: 2.23GHz
Simply it's a matter of CUs here and XSX has more of them.
So it is also implied that both the Xbox One and and Series X are identical.Uhh..? They never said the PS5 runs at a lower resolution but they did say only the Xbox runs in 4K. It's implied.
Going by 2013, 1080p vs 900p was a huge debacle for big budget or open world games, even though lots of other games had the same res. What if its 1800p but the same framerate? Does anybody care then?
Even then, if the big difference comes drom raytracing, it isn't an "all or nothing" situation with it. It can be scaled down for the PS5 (and it most certainly will).to me that first sounded like a framerate shift from 30 on current gen to 60 on next gen.
if that's already ruled out, then the next thing could be raytracing? but as far as I'm aware they haven't even confirmed raytracing on PC for this game, so we'll see
That tweet doesn’t mean what you think it means. It’s crazy how much misinformation continues to be said about PS5.
So it is also implied that both the Xbox One and and Series X are identical.
What if its 1800p but the same framerate? Does anybody care then?
I know dawg. They keep distracting me with GOTY contending exclusives over real issues like Ubisoft games running at a higher resolution LMAO
Alright, now I'm just getting confused by what cross gen means for next gen. I'll circle back for the reviews and comparisons of this game, although I'm rather confident that this one will not be the one that shows how these next gen consoles really stack up against each other for next gen games.Who told you that that the One X and Series X running at the same framerate of even have the same assets or visual settings? Cross gen Farcry 4 didnt.
