You realize that open worlds are more demanding than canned levels loaded into memory...right?
but you can add textures on guns. We're 12 Tflops of power. We have RDR2 running on half that and it's gorgeous. You realize that open worlds are more demanding than canned levels loaded into memory...right?
So I made this Halo Reach gameplay 2 days ago and wanted to check it after seeing Halo Inifinite and boy does it look alot better....
Yes, this is on PC still it just has better textures, resolution and frame rates compared to the original 360 version, either way this is how Bungie designed visually Halo Reach and it looks miles better than Infinite.
Halo Inifinite being an open world is not an excuse, Xbox one or series X are way more powerfull than the 360 version allowing them not only to have an open world but at the same time make it visually better, now the way I see it is that 343 is turning Halo into a more cartoonish looking game, a more family friendly game. If you look at Halo Combat Evolved, the visuals were actually realistic, they didn't look like bordelands or didn't seem to have a pastel or plastic look, same with Halo 2, 3 and reach.
I'm disappointed honestly, hope the story at least isn't bad... which from what I can see it does make me think it will be, the brute speech was horrible and cringy. 343 has a totally different way of telling a story, Bungie was more artistic with well placed music for the moments, slow paced but well written and emotional cutscenes, wonderfull vistas, cinematographicly miles better, 343 is more of a Micheal Bay blockbuster storyteller...
You know what, tell what you think about this 2 side by side!
I'm interested to see how AI acts in this infinite, if its better than Reach.
That's no excuse with the SSD, Xbox Velocity Architecture and the really strong CPU and GPU of the Series X.
Btw, RDR2 runs at native 4K and 30fps on a One X and has more things, physics and systems going on at the same time than Halo Infinite.
they are gonna release a patch for ray tracing at launch... in some years we will have to pay for "Graphics DLC"So they're making Halo texture pack for Minecraft?
343 made Halo 4, which was maybe the best looking game on 360, and I know that was a while ago but I don't think the problem is talent. I think the game looked like a blast to play and am looking forward to it, but I can see why people are criticizing the graphics... the "free raytracing patch" is just a head scratcher though.
Yes, RDR2 with its 5 seconds of input lag and 5 minute animation to pick up a flower.

I don't think RT can transform bad art direction. The game looks cartoonish and generic. Lighting systems can't correct that.they are gonna release a patch for ray tracing at launch... in some years we will have to pay for "Graphics DLC"
I didnt said it couldI don't think RT can transform bad art direction. The game looks cartoonish and generic. Lighting systems can't correct that.
I mean this ain't getting anybody on the Halo bandwagon. Some people are really trying to convince themselves they don't need an Xbox.
The game is coming out in under 4 months, how much more impressive is it going to look? That close up face at the end was embarrassing and they have the gall to say it's built from the ground up to take full advantage of Series X.Oh damn you got a hands on???? Tell me all about every sub system and physics interaction! Is flying the banshee like flying in a helicopter RDR2? Red dead totally does incredibly demanding things like that right?
RDR2 begs to differYou realize that open worlds are more demanding than canned levels loaded into memory...right?
I think people always underestimate the dramatic impact the choice of the engine can have on how a game plays, runs. and looks. take Decima, Snowdrop (TD1 and not 2), Rockstar's engine or any UE4 game, their games always look stunning while running smoothly regardless of the platformI mean look at RDR2, the only way I see the visuals being this way is 343 targetting 60FPS on xbox one too, otherwise it could look better
You can't compare RDR2 to Halo. RDR2 is a slow paced slog in barren, flat landscapes.
You realize that open worlds are more demanding than canned levels loaded into memory...right?
I think that... never mind.[Am I stupid? I really wanna know what you think...]
you think what? Don't be afraidI think that... never mind.
And halo is not?.......is empty.
And halo is not?
The Series X version is a rushed version. 343 did not have enough time to make Series X enhancements. The damn machines is a powerhouse, there is no way that this game should not look better... but it doesn't, because they just don't have enough time to make it so. Xbox said "HALO Infinite will Launch with Series X" Average looking or not, it's going to release on launch day!I have a strong feeling that Halo Infinite was/is going through some insane development hell. You don't have a game 4-5 months out and it looking like a bunch of blockouts - This is insane. I am so upset and just utterly shocked. 343 is a shit show.
This is very sad, I was giving the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately I cannot forgive anymore. I don't even think Xbox One is the issue, even an Xbox One game would not look this bad. It literally looks like this demo was put up/rushed in the last week.
If you watch the video, that strap that holds that sword or whatever clips through his chest. Honestly, a clear sign that the dev's did not have enough time. Xbox should delay the Series X version, but they won't. They've committed to this being a launch title.Xbox Series x Ladies and gents..... with a pointy head.. the power of the series X.. MS really has no shame

To be fair...isn't the game also launching on PC?Some people are really trying to convince themselves they don't need an Xbox.
They said the budget is 500 million ? doing what ? playing with their balls and getting the money while some poor bastard was building the game with minecraft engine ?
This screen grab is from the friggin trailer. WTF is this shit ? worst looking Halo game ever.
Now it's far cry with aliens
You realize that open worlds are more demanding than canned levels loaded into memory...right?
Yet games like Red Dead 2, Final Fantasy 15, Farcry 5, Horizon Dawn, AC: Odyssey, Ghosts of Tsushima, the Witcher 3 and even the semi-open TLOU2 are some of the most beautiful games of the generation. Yes, open world is normally more demanding, but beautiful, huge worlds can still be accomplished with the right amount of talent and proper hardware utilization.
Which of those ran at 4K 60?
4k 60 is why it looks that bad?Which of those ran at 4K 60?
Xbox is getting destroyed today. I don't think people need much convincing after todaySome people are really trying to convince themselves they don't need an Xbox.
