Incoming rumors-
This is what people have been saying for a little bit now.
The PS5 (and possibly XSX) will be is such short supply at launch you will only be able to get them through their own store and a very limited select number of outlets.
Plus have heard if preorders are through the roof it may very well come down to a lottery type of system who gets theirs at launch.
Again all rumors people have been whispering and sorry if this has been discussed many times over the last few days as I have seen a few other people hint at this.
Sounds like PS2 all over again. Guess if I secure one on launch, better have armed security there(or just arm myself).
This is the standard version for XO, isn't it? I can already see a problem with that 'XBOX SERIES X' over there, considering you cannot upgrade it.You should add the others versions to give people more contrast.
But it will be playable w/ back compat. Just not the next-gen upgraded visuals and frame rate. This is the standard version for XO, isn't it? I can already see a problem with that 'XBOX SERIES X' over there, considering you cannot upgrade it.
Ps5 blu ray discs are BDXL and ps4 blu ray drive can't read them.Maybe something to do with the drive? In guessing that maybe the PS4 drive can't read PS5 disks for some reason.
Ok, now I’m beginning to feel sorry for our green bro’s. Just can’t catch a break. Blame MS mismanagement, car salesman tactics, and general lack of gaming acumen for putting the fans out as fodder.
Well, looks like Fall Guys on PS Plus was really a means to get people ready for pre-orders.Incoming rumors-

Knack fans get first dibs.“Our selection is based on previous interests and PlayStation activities.“
Any guesses as to what the criteria will be?

You can just see how emotionally attached these fools are lmaosorry but i don't
they can only blame themselves they could just jump ship, it's not like you need to be 100% loyal to a box this is not football where you support your team no matter what
Two discs will make packaging more expensive, I expect MS to offer less physical copies due to that. That's kinda funny, because Sony is the one with the discless next gen SKU so far.For cross-gen games you might get some double disk games, big deal.
"We are proud to announce PS5 pre-orders will open globally on September 8th for all Knack and Knack 2 owners, and on September 9th for everyone else."Knack fans get first dibs.
Anyway, someone will end with a lesser version and won't be able to get the best of its shiny new console unless paying more $69.99.But it will be playable w/ back compat. Just not the next-gen upgraded visuals and frame rate.
Interesting. Assuming Best Buy and Gamestop will still be OK as the alternatives.
expect a 300 Gb game even a COD remaster is 100Gb +wait... a 40 hour CoD campaign?
Another thing MS didn’t think through properlyWhat's funny is that Sony doesn't have that policy yet PS5 owners are still getting free next gen upgrades. When developers are forced to follow a policy like that they will always find a way around which could end up hurting consumers in the end.
I think they shouldn't block pro-consumer decisions by developers but they shouldn't force it either. Allow consumers to vote with their wallets by supporting developers that choose to be consumer friendly.
I’d rather Xbox just do better and create a desirable product and healthy competition.sorry but i don't

I don't think it's an issue of money, rather it's due to Sony's PS4 install base. Any developer can count on getting sales on Sony's future generation. So Xbox fanboys go out there buy more consoles, and multiple copies of games in order to get exclusive deals in the future. What's the thing people say around here? That Xbox did try to money hat exclusives or that their budget to do so wasn't as big as Sony's because I'm saying the latter. Sony had allocated a larger portion of their budget towards grabbing 3rd party exclusives. I'm not comparing what they've both spent in other areas.

And some others are saying "Sony secured the free next gen upgrade for PS5", they really live in their own reality. The usual suspects want you to believe when Activision says stuff about CoD Vietnam runs at higher framerates on next-gen, or that it runs at 120hz, that they don't mean it's 120fps because THERE'S NO WAY THESE GARBAGE CONSOLES CAN DO THAT... btw the game also doesn't look next-gen enough, what's the deal? Both arguments... same people.
The CPU's alone are like 8 times faster and more powerful than those PS4 ones...... so I think we could see a 100% solid 120fps even with raytracing and everything else. Keep dreaming dude for Xsex to be 499 when ps5 is 599, dream on!!At Gamescom tomorrow PS5 announces $599 consoles super limited quantities, sign up for digital lottery system NOW!
Later in the show Microsoft announces XSX $499 no stock shortages, available at all major retailers RIGHT NOW!
Man both companies really did shit the bed with their next gen launches in one way or another.

Most likely. If I remember correctly, this will be handled similarly to the PS3 when we did it, if I remember it all right.
All GameStop stores will have a set number of units available to that store when pre-orders open(ex. 150).
Typically, those would be guaranteed Day 1, as PS4 did fine with. For PS3, they were tiered allocations in order of when pre-orders were placed.
In essence, on launch day, if we got 40, the first 40 people who ordered would get theirs. When the next shipment came in, maybe the next 20 would have their order fulfilled.
Of note--the time frame to pick-up and pay for your allocated unit will be STRICT(probably 24 hours). After that, you're bumped out for the next person.
So on until they are all completed, THEN something might go on the shelf, so to speak.
CPU is far from being the bottleneck for this type of game, and got nothing to do with raytracing. The CPU's alone are like 8 times faster and more powerful than those PS4 ones...... so I think we could see a 100% solid 120fps even with raytracing and everything else.
We'll see.CPU is far from being the bottleneck for this type of game, and got nothing to do with raytracing.
We may see 120fps cod but it either won't be native 4K, or wont have any fancy effects, you can't have everything.
It must be easier to climb Mt Kilimanjaro with your nuts stapled to a grand piano than being an Xbox fan these daysAlot of people see the policy as being pro-consumer but they fail to see that it's anti-publisher.

Thanks for that info. Had a feeling that was the protocol. You used to work at Gamestop?

Looks like the CoD beta will have at least a 5 day exclusivity on PlayStation.
The most popular theory is 100 euro difference. Partially subsidized due to the locked in nature of digital. But we have no solid information to back that up.Is it confirmed that the digital PS5 will be £100 cheaper than regular, as Sony would want to sell more of that SKU to then get more payback from digital purchases?
Or could the digital be the same price as the normal SKU, but instead offer some other difference like a larger hardrive?

Sony has said very clearly they are the same specs. Both have 825 GB solid state drives. No info yet on price.
