Specs for nVidia Ampere Supposedly Leaked

Yea sorry I should not have to redo my whole air flow for a card with a bad design that exhausts heat directly inside the case. Mine is setup with the AIO on top that pushes air through the radiator that is getting cold air from 3x140 intake fans from the front and a noctua 2000rpm fan in the back that acts like vacum for sucking air through it.

My case keeps one of the hottest cards the radeon VII cooler without having to undervolt.

So fuck that.

Poor design.
Fortunately you have other options. I don't think is something to get that upset about.

RTX IO - how will Sony fanboys survive this?

Survive what? Nvidia confirming that improving the whole I/O system is a necessity with increased SSD speeds?

They are doing the exact same thing as Sony. Loading straight from SSD into VRAM. Excellent news for everyone, especially developers.

It's actually what he showed in the slide for air flow. AND HE SAID that it would get pushed by your exhaust fan. But the air is going to go right into the heatsink fins, and if you have a push full is going to get pulled through the heatsink which already is going to be warm if you have a 8-12core cpu.

Wait for reviews, people who impulse buy these are going to be kicking themselves when they realize they may have to re-do their airflow in their cases or buy a AIO.

I think it is a poor design thats all. I wonder what Hardware unboxed, Gamers Nexus results will be with these?
I doubt Nvidia would have gone through all that trouble for a bad design. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. It would probably work well with cases like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic and an AIO where you have a lot of options of where and how to direct airflow.

Probably close to $500 if Jensen was telling the truth about it being on par with the RTX 3070. Better sell it quick.

You still have a bit of time left, as the RTX 3080 (which is better) doesn't launch until 9/17. So you may still be able to get a decent amount.

I have been following these cards as they have been developed, samsung 8N is not a good node period. The 3080-3090 have a fuck ton of transistors so expect lots of wattage, which creates more heat. Notice thats one thing they did not show.

These are going to get hot hence the giant heatsink and push/pull config.

Even AIB's require a dedicated fan out of their 3 fan design designated for exhaust.

Will be waiting for reviews and testing.

Unfortunately I can’t go without a video card!

Fast game switching? Utilization of SSD so far there's like one or 2 titles on PC that's using this in a meaningful way. Like you can have more than one game in a wait state and switch to it instantly on consoles. CAN'T DO THAT on PC.

Also Nvidia has some cool tech for RTX AUDIO, but so dont Xbox and Sony for 3D ray traced audio. So much we have not seen.

This is one of those times I wish my motherboard had built in video. I would sell my 2080TI right now and just focus on my Switch games until the 3080 is delivered.
My current card is a 1080Ti, and I still have my HD 5870 and HD 7970 (though the latter is dead). I guess I could use the 5870 for now and sell the 1080Ti, but I'd be stuck at 1440p, which would be strange.

Pull the trigger and maximize your selling potential. I donate my older cards to my friends and relatives so I'm screwed.

Yep. Laughing at everyone who thought this was a marketing gimmick. This is great news for everyone.

I dont understsand these guys who are continuasly demanding for a home console that by nature needs to target a mass market to be on par with the most premium PC part. Doesnt make any sense.

In fact, that only confirms that Sony and mr. Cerny were right in their vision and actually builds a better perspective for the Future since devs will be more interested on taking advantage of its peculiar architecture compared to Xsx. It gives Sony an even better position in the consoles market.

After seeing how much cooler my 2080ti is running compared to my previous fan-cooled cards, I'm definitely going to go dual tank custom loop with these cards and my next cpu/mobo. I've always wanted to try it, already have the right case for it, and I've already started planning my routing and layout.

I'll use my 2080ti as my HTPC card I guess and use my old 980ti to block my wobbly kitchen table.

Asus showing new GPU's

Off topic but I really hate this trend of cameras being offset from presenters so it seems like they're talking to someone standing 3 feet to my right side.

Actually they were right. FE prices today and custom's later. My quote of the twitter wasn't complete.

1st post - Price Unveil & Launch date (most probably FE) = 9th September
2nd post - FE prices today, custom model prices later. D:

He doesn't make reference to the AIB or custom models in his first post, only making reference to the FE, and when the price unveil and launch date will be... then backtracks in his second comment saying FE prices will be reveiled today and AIB prices later.

So essentially he's giving conflicting information.

Not arguing with you, just that these guys are so full of crap.
