you are underestimating children. when I was a kid I told my parents what I want. And it definitely wasn't some Sega Saturn, Dreamcast or whatever all the other consoles were named. It was either NINTENDO or PLAYSTATION. And if parents buy their kids expensive christmas presents they will make sure if they are buying the thing what their children want. We are not in the 90's or early 2000's

And if it is sold out the fathers have to do the Arnie

You could argue that the kid will say "I want the new Xbox" and the parent will see the XSS or maybe both and will get the one that is cheaper.

that actually happened to me and I got really pissed at my mother :messenger_tears_of_joy: . She bought us the NES instead of the SNES
but in the end we got the right console

"We can confirm via our sources that the entry-level Xbox Series S will cost $299 at retail, with a $25 per month Xbox All Access financing option, which Microsoft is planning to push hard via various retailers and a large global roll out. The more powerful Xbox Series X will cost $499, with a $35 per month Xbox All Access financing option.
Both consoles will launch on November 10
, 2020."

so.... after 3/4 years what would be the pro versions?

PS5 -> PS5 PRO
XBOX Series S -> discontinued
XBOX Series X -> Become the new S
XBOX series XS? XBOX series X max> XBOX series X pro? XBOX series X

just post the link like this:

Finally something happened.

Regarding the design is okay in my personal opinion looks better than the X version
and the price are the same I expected.

But for love God Xbox make you presentation now at least you want also the gameplay
running in you consoles is also leaked.

Kinda the worst possible time for this info to leak.. Gives Sony plenty of time to think about things and everyone else is barely paying attention on a Labor Day evening. Doubt this was on purpose.

If all this wasn't a controlled leak, then someone is going to get fired...
Phil Spencer to the dude who leaked all that:

Agree leak this is not helpful in any way in not catastrophic or something bad but man
Xbox with that version looks like a version of Ubisoft with so many leaks in its product.

I don't think Sony will bite the bait, they've already showed they can wait this long without doing another reveal/event, it seem's Microsoft stepped forward at first just as Sony anticipated them to.

I don't think Sony will react, not if they have all these moneyhats and shit people have been hinting at.

They might, especially if they did the PS VR week as their own bait and Microsoft took it and ran. If they don't wait and counter announce, it'll be tomorrow or Wednesday.

Microsoft still has to officially confirm all of this, plus show whatever event they have also, I think.

If XSX is confirmed $499, that is the PS5 price as well. Sony might get PS5 DE down to $399. But looks like $499 for both disc versions.

$299 is a good price, though.

I have to admit, that's exactly how I envisioned it, basically the XSX sliced vertically with ventilation moved to the side. I wonder if they are using the same dual board chassis, it might be small enough to fit in there. I could have never foreseen that two-tone color scheme on the optical drive sized grid on the side. I would have gone with all white.

Probably got inspired by PS5's 2 tone look.
