Going with Argos for it now.

So I've got PS5 with a controller at Game, one of the first ones and with email.

PS5 and Controller separates at Amazon.

And the charging station at Argos.

Well done Sony haha. My other pre-order will either be getting cancelled when I'm confident enough to or going to my best friend.

I had one in my basket when posting that, but just checked again and they have gone again. Keep checking im sure there will be more. there were 100s of people looking at the time is showed.

I tried to get that charging station, I could add to trolley but it wasn't available for collection or delivery lol. Luckily it's no where near essential!

bleh. Had to try Argos on mobile and couldn't pay because of cookies/ad block. Enabled them and now I'm stuck with a spinning circle on payment details. Oh well.

Not too sure I found the picture online but it's real. Make sure you are on the website and ready in case and are ready to checkout.

What I wanna know is where the damn games are. I got Demon's Souls via GAME for £70 (lol), was kinda hoping Amazon might cut that slightly but they're on on the UK store, just the US.

The camera and headset are also back in stock on Amazon.

Fuck it, getting myself a headset too. In for a penny, in for a pound, I guess, and I'm gonna resell the games.

Still haven't got one. I have a bad feeling scalpers are running even more rampant than usual.

Think I might as well just wait 6 months for everything to settle down. And for Sony to rethink the 40% game price hike.

I was 34K when I tried earlier. After a few minutes it tImed out. And then, the new message is "Don't bother waiting because we sold out" or some shit like that.

So frustrating.

Argos has been such a cluster fuck. I know people who where up at midnight to order one, then they've just put them out at 5am which is ridiculous.

Got main pre-order from Argos this morning. Got notification from stocknotification at 5.40am ) Argos website was very slow tho it took like 15 min to complete pre-order.

I wouldn't be so sure. Games now are, generally, cheaper than they've ever been and from a business perspective, have long been overdue a price hike.

PS2 I'm struggling to get good data on but the consensus seems to be that big titles were $50, so roughly $75.47 or £58.20 today.
Resistance was $60 at launch in 2006, roughly $77.36 or £59.68 today, couldn't find UK pricing but you have to imagine it's very similar.
Killzone Shadowfall was on average £48 retail at launch in 2013, roughly £55.37, and you could easily have paid more at the time at stores like GAME.

You don't have to be happy about it, but some day, those numbers need to go up. Is £70 too steep? Maybe. I would wait and see what they cost on the digital storefront. I'm willing to bet that PS5 only titles will be £65 or £60 digital and more physical to deter people from buying them.
