PR. It just works.
You can forget about ever playing ES6 on a playstation.
Yeah I understand how market cap is calculated. They idea is that all current shareholders could sell off all stock and suddenly they'd have 1.5 trillion in cash. Obviously such a scenario is theoretical. Any firesale in reality would drive the price down rapidly, etc.
But it is a very accurate measure to compare corporations' values. Price+volume.

I‘m hoping that this will increase the level of competition, which will in turn force both Sony and Microsoft into working harder for our money. To look on the positive side, this may end up benefitting us as gamers, and give us more choice.

Same thing, trust is value. Only reason the US dollar is worth anything is trust, despite our governments 20 trillion plus debts. Its a good way of seeing how much trust a certain business enjoys, not value. Sony, just to keep it close to home, is a very undervalued brand when you look at how big they are, but due to several reasons, people dont trust their business too much.
I would think so as well
Price drop won't happen.Price drop rumor true?
I don’t think Sony could just buy Rockstar. I believe they are partnered with Take 2. Sony would have to buy Take 2. Which would cost as much as Bethesda or near that price. Sony could buy 1 year time exclusive rights to GTA6 though.Sony properly will buy Rockstar Games studio? that would be the real bomb
Market cap is a market valuation, it matter in M&A only if other party agree to be paid in stock. Given how tech stock greatly overvalued, personally I would agree only to be paid in cash (like Zenimax did).Bo Microsoft have a market cap of over 1.5 Trillion dollars. I love PlayStation. But I can do basic math and I know 1.5 trillion is fucking huge lol. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, these corporations are on a different level.
You are looking at it as a console war. But it is a business decision, and for MS it makes sense to improve their GM offer.Wait so Microsoft bought Bethesda and now all their games on Game Pass.... but some/all are also gonna be on other platforms too? Thats odd choice, like Minecraft?
No way, they gotta be locking those games up to Xbox/PC. No way they let Starfield/Scrolls6 go to PS5.

At this point wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft bought EA also. It’s 2020 you know...lol

I still don't totally get that, if someone will buy PS5 in 6 months or a year, will he still have access to those games?

free upgrades HAHAHAHA no, sony believes in generations (only when it suits them)Does this mean these games will receive some sort of patch? If only higher resolution/Unlocked frame-rate:
Well this is the minimal expected in any platform. Xbox can access since original xboxDoes this mean these games will receive some sort of patch? If only higher resolution/Unlocked frame-rate:
If rockstar was up for grabes, microsoft would probably be the one to purchase them.
In the end, this doesnt change a thing for someone that goes PS5/PC this gen, so i am not really bothered. I wonder what the pro consumer group thinks of this...
I think i've found the difference between Demon's Souls High graphics vs High framerate modes
Here's a shot from the latest 60fps trailer (frame taken from highest quality available)
And here's a shot from the same area, from an official screenshot released a few weeks ago:
Color temperature differences aside, you may notice the first shot's environment ambient shadows are much softer and less defined than the latter, giving the castle a blurrier look. You may also notice some lighting effects are turned up, like atmospheric light scattering, more accurate soft shadows and generally more accurate lighting on the characters (compare detail and speculars on shield).
I believe the people at sony/bluepoint wanted to dispel any rumors about "performance" modes looking bad, so they showed the 4K60fps gameplay knowing we'd be impressed with it, even though they have an even better looking version coming up.
No that's not how it goes... It goes like this...Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo.
HOLD UP!!! THIS NEEDS TO BE SAID: YOU DROP $7.5B ON ZENIMAX BUT NOT KEEP MIXER ALIVE??? GTFOH!!!
This is interesting.
The trailer must have been at half 4K resolution but upscaled using internal hardware. It was a pretty convincing 4K, definitely worth the resolution hit for 60fps.
So some of the games will still be multiplatform. Odd choice Xbox, shoulda just locked them all up. Good move for Game Pass regardless.

Ah, well there you go...
The future is Xbox becoming a huge publisher with Gamepass also avaliable on PlayStation.
We are still winning hard, bois.
