So, basically what PlayStation gamers are now looking at is Starfield, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout all being timed exclusives for Xbox and PC, for about 12 months?

Microsoft unfortunately can not make good services zune , mixer, windows phone even the last duo phone
to win you must have a studios with unified vision and excel in something special nobody can do it like u
because of that nintendo is winning , sony is winning, apple is winning, etc
buying many studios without unified vision and huge numbers like 23 studios is very hard to manage or control their quality

I'm sure it'll have some differentiator in the space travel aspect, but it's probably gonna be Fallout/Skyrim in space for the most part.

Still seems pretty limp in sales compared to PS5. PS5 was gone in a few minutes or sites were crashed.
This seems almost too civilized. Like there is no real excitement or frenzy moment.

We need to assume and accept the real possibility that all of the above are going to be exclusively Xbox games. If you're not planning on getting an Xbox or PC, forget about these games.

I get what you are saying but just want to point out id is a huge get for MS. Doom was an awesome game and the id devs are engine wizards. Overall, this does not move the needle for me on XSX in the near-term but will definitely re-evaluate once their first-party games start coming out

Nah, I think they release date to date otherwise we would already have some kind of statement for exclusivity.
Its microsoft that did buy them but not for Xbox to tank that investment.

No one is denying it's huge, but looking at how MS needs to get those billions back, do you honestly think they can do that just with new subscriptions, not even mentioning all those usual $1 promotions? Minecraft was 2 billions and they kept it multi, what to say about 7,5 billions.
One more question: what would the average Xbox fan prefer, an exclusive he would have to pay more for due to increased Gamepass costs, or a multi at no extra cost?

Microsoft did make a statement; that they will honor current agreements and consider other platforms for future games "on a case by case basis."
Same statement they've made for their other studio acquisitions.

Don't know the hustle and bustle about the preorders. In germany you can easily go in the shop without even preordering it and pick up one easily.

I think you are right for people buying right now at launch.
But for parents who end up buying a new console for their kids, or for people like me who may well end up buying one as a second console to go along with the PS5, I am not so sure!
But yeah will be interesting to see, especially once we get passed the initial launch period where I think we can expect everywhere to sell out.

Summing up my 2 latest posts :
Allegro biggest online retailer in Poland- 48M country in central Europe (think Amazon) in 5 hours from preorders have started :
●sold around 300 XSX from initial 1400
●sold around 30 XSS from initial 400
Allegro didn't handled PS5 preorders, second biggest retailer did : MediaMarkt we have no exact number but in the same 5 hours time until they deleted number of PS5 bought the number was 40.000, and they maintain open preorders for another day.
Thats not even 5-1. This is brutal. Im just going to put it to yanks who have never left america.And internet dwellers. They really don't understand how much bigger a brand playstation is worldwide. Casuals go with whats popular,what they already have & what they missed out on.
I don't think cheerleaders realise the damage the showcase did during lockdown. With the economy you got to buy quality & whats best. Xbox ain't it.

This might be the third time I post this here but MS did not make a convincing sales pitch for their boxes as of yet.
Power? Did not show anything. Games? No release dates and no gameplay. BC? A feature that barely gets used and nobody buys new hardware to play old games.

Well, Gamestop in my country has secured orders that will end filling no sooner than March 2020. Maybe they have very little allocation, who knows, but point is if you go TODAY to pre-order a PS5 at GameStop they'll give you a delivery date of March (I went there this morning since I was out buying a new switch).

And a LOT more. Games don't produce themselves, you need to spend big on each title to make a quality game, and you need quality control as well. So for those foaming xbox fans, it's better to wait and see the results first, before waiting for 7 years for every other E3.
I crave a PS5 Motorstorm, just imagine how amazing that game would look on the new hardware!

I'm prepared to wait till spring. I don't want to bump into a defective unit which occurs early on when a new generation lands and have to rma and wait for an "eternity" to have it fixed or replaced. I hope early adopters don't have to go through that , first batcnes produced tend to have a small number of defective units as well, it's a small number I know. But buying early and ending up with a unit that's defective? That is a risk I'm not willing to take, especially on launch day when demand will be high.I love how everyone is getting frustrated about not being able to secure a preorder from retailers, while my country is simply trying to secure retailers that might one day offer preorders.
Y'all and your first world problems. I'm fully prepared to wait until the new year to land a PS5. I might have to schedule a visa run to Japan, for the express purpose of ganking a box.

I do not think so. If you want to bring such big games for your subscription service, you have to finance it somehow and that works best where such games are bought at full price on the first day.
You may be able to do without it with a few first-party titles, but the next Skyrim will bring you so much money that you will automatically become platform agnostic^^

I agree with you. I'll add though that for those that are XBOX only gamers AND fans of the Spider-man character along with the Avengers, I kinda understand wanting to be able to play as Spider-man. After all, they can't do that on XBOX in any other game either. I'd also add, it's in a game both systems have access to, so.. I get that angle as well.
For those clamoring about console exclusivity, well, I guess the only thing to say is.. deal with it. What's good for one is good for the other. Sony bought out studios, Microsoft has bought out studios. It happens.
Sony has Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, Guerrilla Games, Media Molecule (and others) that they bought.
XBOX studios bought 343, Double Fine, Mojang, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, Playground Games, Turn 10, Bethesda, Zenimax (and others).

That’s not going to happen.
Sony coasting on PS4 success instead of aggressively building on the back of it will be their undoing.
MS is making the third party landscape smaller for everybody, and they have an army of first party studios. I expect 2023 onwards to be mega years for Xbox. They have the studios, they have the money, they have a low barrier of entry, they have gamepass.

given that "xbox fans" already had interest on xbox, I think this poll addresses more the rest of people.
also, the wording may say "more exclusives", but it is surely describing the twenty-ton gorilla that is BETHESDA games gone exclusive, not some "general" exclusives.

Big chips are hard to produce than smaller ones no matter the clock... so if the production is bad for PS5 the for Xbox Series X is even worst.
Series S should be the chip with better production right now but I believe the appeals is pretty low at least with early adopters (the moms are no shopping yet).
