I think it's just the NDA that's keeping the XSX games from being shown. Now why would they do this?

I guess we have to see XSX footage to find out why. At the moment people are expecting the XSX to be a native 4K box. That's my expectations as well due to how they sold the power of the system.

No, simply because many games wouldn`t gain anything from it. But the way it`s handled Sony made sure that every user playing a PS5 game has the hardware needed in his hands.
There is no hardware fragmentation and any effort put into this feature will always reach 100% of the players on the platform.
That is how you make the decision to support a feature easy for developers.

They didn't have any XSX/XSS optimised stuff - at least initially. Jeff Grubb demo'ed the speed of the UI looking at and filtering your apps/games list. When the filter XSX/XSS Optimised was selected the list was empty. I'd assume they would start adding access to these titles eventually.

My guess is that they're trying to get a good lineup of 4k60 games even if they don't look as good as PS5 exclusives, anything next-gen running at dynamic resolution in the XSX will destroy all the marketing and all the negativity against PS5 they can show.

Sony lucked out (or should I say brute forced their way) into a betters situation with the studios they have deals with having console gameplay ready to go. I doubt there is a big conspiracy. If CDR had the next-gen patch ready and working for launch, I'm sure MS would be showing that off.

Once the games release, Sony can't stop reviewers from showing XSX footage, so we'll see what the comparison is then.

Honestly after seeing these images how could they deny the PS5s existence any longer?

The console is real and people will be playing it this November. If Sony isn't sending PS5s out to youtubers it's because they are making the decision not to.

Maybe there's something really wrong with the system or maybe it's not their thing to send consoles to YouTube personalities.

Sony could easily create auto-support for legacy controllers if they wanted. I'd imagine you knew that, considering you apparantly know how many people are working on that part of games. If Sony wanted to support older controllers, devs wouldn't have to put any thought to it at all, since it was the OS it self that did the downgrade.

So yes, that is how it works.

rumble is not easy to automate also rumble happens in cutscenes and rumble have different frequencies you have to add support by game to game basis and there's no way sony would do that for every 1st, 3rd, indie developers or should do it like you think.

Well Sony doesn't have a hand in stopping XSX footage from being shown. Microsoft has plenty of other games they they can use such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, The Medium, Scorn and other titles. We are extremely close so there's definitely a working build running on the XSX.

With all this said if they are not showing this footage it's probably because they are not being allowed to.

I honestly don't believe that Sony has a hand in this. If only BC games are being shown that's because of Microsoft not anything else.

How do we know that no western youtuber has a ps5 for review? We didnt know that geoff was going to play playroom one day before, so its not like they have to announce it a week before. We also know that a rapper has atleast the controller, what if they actually did send the hardware to youtubers.

If your next gen console of choice is backwards compatible with your current gen controllers that is a bonus and a saving for all buyers.
Some posters concerns for their fellow gamers on the alternative next gen consoles that does not have backwards compatible controllers is truly disingenuous. The same as the idea that a lack of controllers is indicative of your sociability.
I have been gaming since Pong on a black and white Television and cannot recall a console generation where the previous generations controllers were fully compatible.
We are all here because we are gamers and are excited for the next gen. There should be more camaraderie and less antagonism. It wasn't that long ago that just by calling yourself a gamer you suffered a social stigma. Which I still occasionally encounter from people due to my agedness.

I know it's up to those publishers to show those games but it's definitely possible. Just trying to say that we are not seeing any XSX footage because Microsoft is allowing any to be shown yet. They will closer to launch and it the worst case we will eventually see it when the console launches.

I personally believe we will get footage before launch. Especially something that proves the power of the system.
