Well ... ace of spades already said it
"improper use" deliberate or not, to stir up the pot who knows why.

But why would Microsoft suddenly change the text? for this message? And so far, everyone stated that it´s stupidly quiet running BC games.

Maybe she placed the XSX inside a cabinet? Or put a book on top of it :p

I don't know but even if she did do something stupid like, i would imagine Microsoft give them strict orders if anything out of the blue happens not to transmit it all over the net.

I bet there are a ton of conditions attached to having the console and they had to sign a lot of agreements.

Otherwise, we would see videos of being stripping them down lol.

I just find it very strange and personally i very much doubt its true. It's just somebody probably trying to gain followers, attention, who knows what, I checked her twitter but its set to private, so i can not see what's going on there,

But saying all this, i would personally trust Microsoft console to be of solid build, these things are tested for thousands of hours.

So yer i would call it fake or she has fucked up something like you said,

There has been so much Fud this last week, its out of control everywhere

Miles morales is 50gb. The other 55gb is Spider-Man remastered

We've not been told of any more information about PlayStation 5's "Boost Mode" for select PlayStation 4 titles, but I remember seeing this IGN Video of Day's Gone a while ago and naturally assumed it to be footage from the PS4 Pro, but from Googling (as I haven't got a Pro) it says it only supports 4K 30FPS, but this IGN video posted in February last year, was at 60FPS.

Was it ever looked into to see whether this was running from a PC dev build, or has Day's Gone had a patch since to allow a "Performance Mode" that allows it to run up to 60FPS? Or even more interesting, is this a sign of things to come for some of the select PS4 titles getting a PS5 Boost Mode enhancement?

Since few weeks too many things/signs are happening and that are telling me "IT'S NEXTGEN TIMEEEEE DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Both my PS4 Pads are starting to feel tired, and my PS4 disk player is tired too, also MHW got its last update.

On my PS4 PRO with regular SSD roughly 20 seconds that Russian leak was absolutely fake, PS5 as fast as PS4 Pro on regular SSD? There is no way.

Booting up is not just about loading the OS/Desktop. It does hardware checks, and it's very difficult to speed those up. And it does a network check, and for sure that's a major problem to fast boots.

You would want more diagnostics when booting up, as it helps resolves problems, especially if you're having a hardware issue, and need a feedback mechanism to help remove the problem.

I think 20s is reasonable regardless on how fast the SSD is.

I hope so, I love that game.

Got platinum trophy for that game. That’s right.

I just came back to MHW and an getting my arse whooped by alatreon.. my reactions are majorly slow though since my muscle memory will need to readjust lol.

I'm kind of taking it slow just so I can play it on the PS5 .

Sure, in some cases you may also trade performance for lossless savings (BC7Prep instead or on top of the baseline RDO step) and in some others you will be tweaking per texture per scene to ensure you maximise either install size of texture variety or both. Oodle has pretty good savings at near lossy settings too.
We know that the 8-9 GB/s numbers were not considering Oodle Texture so even at conservative near lossless settings, the number can grow higher than that on average. Still, sure only some idea rare scenarios will push anywhere near 15-18 GB/S and even rarer will max out the 22 GB/s the unit can work at.
I seem to recall you mentioning how you disliked people throwing around unrealistic numbers. Hmmm....

Oh hello 👋 stalker friend :).

Meaningless 2-3x multipliers without baseline definition (overselling SFS vs PRT and software based virtual texturing in the minds of some) vs detailed analysis of compression performance of texture layout optimisation to improve compression rate by the makers of not the console but the compression tech itself (see the earlier links) which show an, admittedly unspecified, texture example delivering that compression rate post RDO optimisation.
Compare that with the two tweets they were always quoting from Goossen: http://cbloomrants.blogspot.com/2020/09/how-oodle-kraken-and-oodle-texture.html . Easier to believe that a unit built to deliver up to 22 GB/s peaks at 9 GB/s...

Also said it was admittedly an ideal case very rare scenario and I am willing to take an extra 1 GB/s on top of Goossen’s “over 6 GB/S compressor rate” figure... and that maxing out the 22 GB/s rate was even rarer scenario than that.

Beside these tiny details... yep, same thing... ;).

Stalker? I don't follow you around, you aren't that important ;)
Oddle + RDO has cpu overhead doesn't it? I still think you are wrong on that. It's like saying the effective performance of a tile based rendering card is meaningless without a baseline definition. I prefer the numbers MS used as conservative ( and they were ) compared to peak nutso numbers of 22GB per second. Not only that but I thought oodle only works for images and not all files?

Just because sony said they could decompress 22GB's per second, doesn't mean they will get anywhere close to achieving that in a game/real world scenario. I recall many people thinking that the unreal demo wouldn't be possible on xbox becuase it was using the power of the SSD? When i mentioned we didn't know how much SSD/IO bandwidth the unreal 5 demo used, and low and behold it wasn't maxing out the SSD bandwidth on PS5, and would have fit well within the conservative numbers MS was using for Xbox. of course when people are comparing games directly, we will see what the difference is really like.

btw i wasn't quoting those tweets, but I did quote patent info. i guess we will see how it all plays out especially after one of the MS patents mentions using Machine learning for texture scaling in combination with texture compression, which should be capable of some pretty interesting "effective performance multiplier" numbers they have yet to put out there.
