Looks like the Sony taskforce is on my ass again. Why can't these dudes leave me the fuck alone? I just want to have healthy factual conversations about ALL games and I can't even do that without someone trying to troll me for ..... not saying what they want to hear? This is the kind of bait that gets me into trouble because I want so bad to get them to STFU.

I feel that you are going into this expecting everybody to value your work and insight at face value. If you remember, a few hours ago I asked you about RT in a general sense because I don't see its appeal right now.
As you're a VFX Veteran, something probably only Bo_Hazem is on here, I'd ask you to think about not explaining the graphics but the 1's and 0's behind the whole thing.
They (i.e. me) don't look at it in the depth you know about and it would be difficult, cumbersome and plain stupid to try and educate what you as a professional see and would describe.

There is no need to engage all the time and I think you're able to weed out who is interested and who is being facetious.

I am happy to engage the shitting on people but you don't have to pull your pants down to your ankles to pee.

These guys I've known very well in the last year. I know what they stand for and I know that they intentionally poke me to get a response. When I give it to them, it gets me into trouble. I'm trying to keep conversations to a minimum. but I'll be damn if I'm going to get people continuously trolling me for the hell of it. Just like the mods hate seeing the same old shit everyday with some of these dudes on a daily basis, I get tired of it too.

I see that he gets a lot of heat and maybe thats unjustified.
But some of his takes/views/statements/"facts" are simply bullshit. Now noone would problably care if he would be some random anon.
However his "Vetted Industry professional" status paired with his "know-it-all" attitude does cause much of that drama around him.

Though please don't take this as a personal attack. I just happend to read some of his posts and conversations he's been participating in and thats only my subjectively perceived opinion on this matter.

He does post the "PS games coming to PC" theory, specifically TLOU, an awful lot though - and refuses to reply or engage when challenged on it. If VFXVeteran VFXVeteran is so sure TLOU is coming to PC, why not post the evidence and shut up dissenting voices? "Dude trust me" isn't going to cut it.

He seems, and he is welcome to read this, a little bit more on the technical side.
I worry for the approach taken from some members to confront him because he will respond in kind, albeit in a 'higher' kind of manner. Depending on who you learned to talk to or who you are currently talking to shit will sound weird to others, sometimes you cant or wont bring an argument down to the point.
I'm not defending him in particular but trying to curry a thinking of 'not everybody is trying to accomodate your style of thinking/arguing'.

Same as with stupid comments it's on us to behave ourselves and talk in a manner suitable for the conversation.
