Admittedly I never really posted much in that forum but never had any real problems with it aswell and I know this is just a single game (albeit one that I am antecipating for a long time) but yeah, not a fan of how things were handled over there.

Basically impossible to discuss anything related to the game without someone posting "it amazes me how some people ignores all the issues and just hype the game as nothing happened", etc, etc, things along those lines or "fuck CDPR and this game", clearly trying to incite a response. If I want to hype the game or discuss about fucking screenshots or whatever that should not be a problem, it IS a gaming forum after all, and I should not have to think twice before posting something or preface all my opinions with "hey, apologies not sure if this is OK to post?".

This and my personal favorite, all the users that have no counter argument to anything and love to throw the "whataboutism" line every time someone would point out issues that happen to numerous other companies/games but don´t get the same restrictions this particular game has surrounding it. Double standards galore.

Yep, which is why this approach doesn't work. Once Cyberpunk has faded into the background, there will be a new scandal and more manufactured outrage. And the bar is so incredibly low (some tweets, a picture of a sexy woman with a dick) that it's going to be hard to justify not applying the same censures. As soon as someone really goes for Ubisoft, it's a done deal because who can you justify 'giving a platform' to a company that tolerated actual sexual assault if you're going to cancel CDPR for bad jokes?
