Ark II will also feature Vin Diesel as a hero character, Santiago, who will also be a crossover character in the upcoming “Ark: The Animated Series.” While Vin Diesel will lend his acting talents to Ark II, he is also a massive fan of the franchise, now serving as an executive producer on the game’s sequel and having logged over 1,000 hours in Ark: Survival Evolved.

I suppose it‘s to do with the Game being an early Access / gamepreview title. Sony doesn‘t have a similar business model so games like this, Deep Rock Galactic, DayZ are timed exclusives by default.

I’m excited.
Ask is a buggy mess but it also has some of the coolest base building elements in any game... ever.

Always on persistent worlds, you tame animals, fly around on pterodactyl, fight dinosaurs, defend your base, cook food, build boats, explore underwater caves, grow plants, generate electricity, route plumbing, resource harvesting. Join factions, participate in battles- even wars! Steal from others, loot, get rich, lose everything, and start again.

the game is amazing and the best in its class for its scope.
I have played hundreds of hours because it’s so addicting.

the developers do over promise and under- deliver though. And don’t get me started on the fiasco that Atlas was.

can’t wait to play Ark 2. This came out of nowhere!

I disagree. I have probably a couple thousand hours into Ark and have played It on a Base Xbox one to an Xbox one X and now on my series X. Maybe your experience was different but after the upgrade patch it runs quite well on my Series X.

Probably I need to play the upgrade patch then. I tried the game the week it released on XSX and it had frame rate issues.

I dont play these kinds of games, but maybe all these open world hack and slash kinds of games like ARK and Smite are bigger than I think with the general public..... even though I've never seen one friends list buddy play any of these kinds of games ever.
