Motion sickness? Just a heads up if you ever get interested after the patches. I’m almost allergic to first person games but for some unknown reason I haven’t for a second felt sick from playing Cyberpunk. There is a setting in the menu for motion sickness, sounds like bs but it actually works for me, and I’m one of those who had to skip the whole OG Halo trilogy because they put me in bed within minutes.
This is on PC btw, no idea how the console version is.
Wow, thanks for letting me know! 90% of first person games makes me really sick, including Halo too.

The biggest exceptions are Titanfall, Apex Legends, Destiny and some of the Call of Duty games, everything else are really complicated for me to enjoy.

Hopefully the latest consoles have or will have that option too. Good to know.

I'm only 5 min into the video as I'm doing double duty watching the Chiefs game.

The vast majority of these issue I never saw as he's compiled all kinds of video sources.

Two things:

1. 2077 looks like shit

2. The early part where some guy says 2077 is a huge bustling city based on that 48 min preview video - talk about BULLSHOT video. It's always amazing that game companies have a bunch of employees asked to cobble together bug free awesome looking sequences a year or more out, but then the actual game (which you'd think would look better if anything as opposed to old alpha/beta builds) looks like shit.

Way to go game industry. Now you know why gamers coined the term bullshot just for your PR images videos.

Bunch of assholes.

3. All the video game sites and bloggers riding the wave it's the greatest game in recent times were full of shit the whole time. Paid off. NDA hammered. Giving impressions based off CDPR canned videos etc.....

Well I mean the actual game on PC looks better than that demo. But yes, vertical slices should die. Gamers just use them to destroy your game when it launches most of the time.

This is what you call journalism at it's best, unlike that article. Just gets to the point and not states the obvious on what we already knew.

They both do a good job.

I think its very important to talk to those developers directly to get input on what the fuck happened with this. Those interviews internally are very important too. We didn't really know for sure, simply assumed, those interviews confirm it and get it out of a here say, rumor, assumption etc.

Sorry folks, I won't be able to participate here anymore since someone felt attacked because I used the word "cuck".
Gaf becoming Era is a surprise to me.

From now this thread will be a "safe space" for everyone. Have a nice day.

I've seen way edgier comments in TLoU2 threads, this reads like a salty mod.

1. This is lie. Game has performance issues and lod system is janky on PS4 but you are looking at compilation of worst bugs and things that happened to shitload of people. Game is litearlly the best looking game ever and is huge upgrade over 48 minute demo when it comes to graphics.

2. This is completely false story which was popular at release as people didn't play game and trolls started shitting on game. C77 has day and night cycle where amount of people on street depends on place and time of day. Go to corpo plaza at midday and you won't be able to even drive since it will be like rush hours. There are places in game that spawns way more people than that 48 minute demo

3. Most of early reviews played PC version of game. And PC version of game is absolutely fine. There are some bugs but not hat many which is why it got high scores.

There is way more in that vid like that exploding car which is literally part of quest where dude goes into car with bomb. Another one of those "this game is buggy" from release which was found to be fake.

Here is example:

You're taking my point too literal. I'm also talking in the same paragraph about bugs, bad AI, cops respawning and all the other stuff crowbcat is showing. And I'm only 30 min into his video.

Then there's the 2 year old articles about it's so open ended, but turns out the game quests are more linear etc...

Look beyond graphics on good PC rigs,

The worst thing for me is that i got this game for Christmas. I had to lie that it was good and i had a lot of fun with it.
Now i find out that i will wait at least half a year for the ps5 patch. :messenger_neutral: But looking at the state of this game, i have no hope that they'll fix this mess even until then.

Anyway, great video. :lollipop_pensive:

This has to be the worst case of broken promises and bug ridden releases ever. I have been gaming for almost 30 years now and never have I seen anything like this. Big Rigs is like citizen kane compared to this. At least those devs didn't lie to our faces for years.

I dont usually care for crowbcat videos, but I am glad this one exists. This isn't a case of launching a game in an incomplete state like AC Unity or Mass Effect Andromeda. The game is not even half done. Entire areas are missing. Dozens are promised features are missing. Entire A.I routines are missing. Cops, NPCs, vehicles, and well any other form of A.I is simply not responding the way they should.

The fact that the CEO is also the game director just proves that the devs are just as responsible. This is on this mother fucker who needs to be fired asap. The fact that he is still lying and saying that their testing did not show issues on consoles just shows how disgraceful this piece of shit really is. I saw leaked footage of the game back in November that looked just like the final version. There is no way they didn't know.

The montage of the advertising campaign is the main reason we are in this mess. They spent probably over a $100 million marketing this game, and they had to make that date. Delaying it would've meant millions wasted. It is the classic case of corporate greed. Something one would expect from EA or Goldman Sachs.

I cannot stress enough how utterly unacceptable this all is. And again, I am not just talking about the bugs either. Everything about this game reeks of corruption.

Are these gifs supposed to be showing us something? This doesn't look great especially in the animation department

I hate to be that guy...actually no, I don't, I love it...I told you so. As early as E3 2019 I was talking about CDPR clearly not having faith in their product, that the more they showed the less interested I was, that despite everything they said it really didn't look particularly deep, that this was a dumpster fire waiting to happen. Fanboys rushed to their defense and told me I was wrong, that I just needed to have faith...that I'd be preordering it anyway. Lo and behold...here we are.

But the demo doesn't have good ai or cops. They didn't showcased those features. The game does look better if you compare it to the demo but only on PC. Consoles lol. Horrible especially pre day 1 patch which is a lot of that footage. The quests are more linear yes. Still great though.

I feel like my main issue with Cyberpunk 2077 is not just the bugs, or even the performance issues. It's that even if you patch the game, and fix all the issues, you still got a pretty damn ass barebones game here when you think about it. I'm not even talking about story choices here or sidequests, I'm talking about basic gameplay loops. Or...shall we say one loop : Killing is all you can do in Cyberpunk 2077. Sure there are some odd ones where it's bare knuckle fights, or that car racing thing. But all in all I'm kinda expecting more from an open world game if I want to be immersed in it. There's no factions, or faction meter, no side stuff to do to chill (besides going to a bar and drinking). It's all just: go to this map marker, kill everything and hurray, you're done.

Which is sad cause then you have games like The Yakuza franchise that while don't look next gen, I can immerse myself in different side activities. Or even 2020's Assassin's Creed Valhalla, has Flyting which ... sigh Medival Yo Mama jokes, but even that serves a purpose as it unlocks charisma boosts, that also unlock additional dialogue options for certain side quests, which actually result in different results. You also get a Dice game, treasure hunts, and a few other things.

In CP2077 everything is static. You got this huge open world city, but it's barebones as hell. It looks like if... any part of the article is true, this is a clear case of Destiny 1 development. Where 90% of the stuff that was done got thrown out by the CEO cause he didn't like the story, and if most of the Witcher 3 devs left well. ouch

Or they've actually played it and formed their own opinion like a normal person.

Even if you've liked it, which is totally acceptable, you cant escape the reality that the game is broke, and they did not brign wwhat was promised to the table. You can defend that its actually a good game when it works, and that will be fine. You cant say the game works and that CDP did everything they promised, thats just a blatant objective lie.

With all these people complaining about the animations when Rockstar drops it's next game I never want to hear anybody complaining about animation priority or putting realism before fun ever again. RDR2 was dragged over the coals for having the same with thing this game is being dragged for not having. Not defending it but just be consistent folks.

Serious question: was game journalists paid by CDPR to lie about how good the game was? They played the unpatched PC version, and everyone just stated how damn good the game was. I mean, what the hell?

I think you can't judge a game based on what's not there. If it's not there then it's not there and it isn't a factor. Would everyone suddenly hate Shadow of the Colossus if they found out that there were ten more boss fights that got cut just before release?
