WandaVision |OT| Wanda's Mental Multiverse Breakdown

More and more allusions as to Wanda not being the one responsible for all of this. That person showing up and she also mentioned she didn't really know how this all started.

Who was in control of this in the comics? Mephisto?

I just caught up with all of the episodes that are out and that 5th episode was amazing. I was not expecting that ending at all.

Show is awesome. The past two episodes have been great.
Absolutely love the sitcom intros. The family ties / growing pains one so far is the best. Took me back to my childhood.

Yeah past two episodes has made this watchable.
Also just my guess but...

That’s not really quicksilver

If it's a
fake quicksilver, then why use the X-men one and not the one from the MCU? It's multiverse shenanigans. It has to be.

Sometimes actors are dumb. Look at Terence Howard. He tried to demand more money than RDJ and now his replacement gets his own series.

that was awesome, I was spoiled about that character but because of the twist it ended up being even more of a surprise. episode 4 and 5 have been incredible.

it will be quite interesting the way they go about it.
they either do the multiverse thing or this is just a dumb nod to the xmen version. Disney owns 20th Century so they could do whatever they want creatively.

I still don't believe the story has anything to do with the multverse at this point. Maybe by the end of the series the multiverse will split open but not yet.

ENDGAME SPOILER IN CASE YOU LIVE UNDER A ROCK AND HAVEN'T SEEN IT.
I watched Kevin Smith today and they mentioned that Vision doesn't know that Tony Stark, his father, is dead yet. Made me wonder if he knows who his father is and how he came to be. And if he does know, what will his emotions be like when he learns his father is dead. Will he get super mad at Wanda for her not telling him?

This is the way. This is what Agents of shield shouldve been. A weekly dose of mcu that actually moves the story along.
Agents of SHIELD was at its best when it was working around the movies showing the other angle. It’s a shame that it lost that.

Shows that actually feed into the full MCU are exactly what this live action comic book crossover we call the MCU should be. All sorts of production sizes using their medium (in this case an episodic series) to do what movies can’t.

because it’s the only time anyone could ever do something like this. This quicksilver should end up being Mephisto if they are smart, but also they are doing the whole multiverse thing so it could be something dumb to go with that.

We still don't even know if Mephisto is involved. I know the show has many hints that it is him, but we'll see.

Well we do know there was a person in witness protection that the FBI was searching for who we haven't seen yet and that Wanda has the entire town mind controlled, so it could always be him.

if he ends up being “Ralph” then I think he is pretty much mephisto

Because she's a shitty friend and most likely didn't visit her mother when she was dying. Or we'll find out in Captain Marvel 2.
There is a scene in Far From Home where Peter asks “Fury” why not get help from Captain Marvel, and “Fury” sternly says not to name her again.

Maybe Carol had some sort of falling out with SWORD and/or the surviving Skrulls?

He shut up a teenager trying to name drop her by saying "don't invoke her name" because he revered her so much because of what she did for him in her movie.

I see what you mean. But that came off weird. Might be me looking too much into it, considering who said it tho.

All the sites who wrote definitive clickbait stories about the end of this episode will look pretty dumb if the next four hours of the show reveal it's not who they declared him to be in their clickbait.

I really don't understand why people are reaching for multiverse, absolutely nothing in the show has pointed towards the multiverse, nothing. Wanda's powers (if it's even her doing it) are changing the current reality, it's not pulling anything from other realities. Even in the comics from what I have seen and read her powers don't pull or send things from other realities, she changes current reality. House of M is the 616 universe (Earth) completely changed from what I remember. Maybe I have a poor memory?
I haven't read much about Mephisto in the comics but what I have read of him has not involved anything to do with the multiverse either.

I imagine the Phase 4 multiverse will be how they bring in the X-Men to the MCU Earth.

They're recasting. There are Mutants (Madripoor) in Falcon and Winter Soldier, and then more Mutants in Shang-Chi.

Fox never went to Madripoor because they are too stupid to know what it is.

Is this confirmed or are you just guessing?

Yes, but Madripoor doesn't automatically = mutants. The MCU and the comics have been very different on many occasions, just one example being Zemo, completely different characters.

Madripoor = Mutants because Fox owned it.

You aren't providing any proof Manabyte. I know that Madripoor was owned by Fox as it first appeared in X books. But again, Madripoor doesn't automatically mean we will see mutants, there are more than just mutants living in Madripoor in the comics and maybe they'll use Madripoor as a place for mutants 5 years down the road after mutants are 100% a thing in the MCU. But right now there is no proof of mutants being in Madripoor right?

You apparently see some recognizable people in the bar scene in Madripoor.

Then there are a couple Mutants in the Shang-Chi tournament.

Shang Chi tournament? The 4chan rumours with Spiral and Omega Red? These characters don't make any sense for Shang-Chi.
A tournament set up doesn't even make sense based on the films name, why would the Ten Rings hold a tournament when we have always seen them as terrorists?
:(

I am taking Madripoor as a definite mutant teaser. Marvel and Feige are really good at that.

Hell I'm wanting to see Kate Pryde and the Marauders there now lol (I know it won't happen anytime soon, but I am enjoying Hickman's run)

As long as you have your expectations in check. I'm dying to see the mutants and Fantastic Four in the MCU as well.

But I won't be watching Falcon and the Winter Soldier with the expectation that I'll see mutants. I'd rather expect there not to be mutants and be surprised if any show up rather than expect them to be there and none show up. It's not like Madripoor is a safe haven for mutants or anything like that, it's just that a few stories in the comics took place there. I'd rather expect other Southeast Asian heroes show up here instead of mutants specifically.
I can't imagine Feige introducing mutants in a show that has nothing to do with them, as far as we know anyway. What I can imagine is for the Eternals movie to reference them and then for a fully fledge mutant movie to flesh out the lore surrounding the X-gene and mutant struggles.

616 Wanda's "No more mutants" touched all dimensions and realities.

As far as I am aware only the 616 universe was affected by Wanda herself and there were only 198 or so mutants left.
Obviously there would be thousands or millions of alternate realities where House of M take place as well and there would be no mutants there either. I did some Googling and there seems to be some confusion about the affect House of M had on the multiverse. I read something about the Age of Apocalypse reality being shut down somehow but that boggles my mind how that can happen.

This one is better. I don't know anyone who prefers Ultron quicksilver to the x-men one.
This isnt about whos preffering who

Because Marvell Pietro is already connected to Wanda

Very weird that this Pietro was asking " Who is this Popsicle?" to Vision. At that moment the whole thing felt disconnected.

The Pietro from Marvel wouldve recognized Vision instantly cos they fought together in Age of Ultron

Yeah that's fair. Infinity Saga had tease after tease after tease. I am just taking Madripoor as a tease. Maybe in 2029 we'll have a Marauders show on Disney+ exploring more of it. I wouldn't expect an X-Men movie anytime soon, certainly not before 2024 at the very earliest or more likely 2025+.
