Twitter posts with this link are talking about how that was promotional INTERNAL footage and that things have been updated since. Still, even if it is old, this looks legit real. Thanks man.

I have the feeling this was produced as internal pitch material / proof of concept for a public trailer. A couple of journalists have said the video is from last year, so probably not a "new trailer" From Software was about to drop to the public.

To think otherwise is to not have followed FromSoftwares development over the last decade. Miyazaki has shown that he has little interest in following trends. (Unless they are trends set in his own games).

I don't know if we can really call any King's Field "open world", they more or less had the same non-linear structure as all the Soulsborne games.
And I have a strong feeling this one will be the same, maybe with more branching paths, optional locations and larger individual areas. Don't expect Skyrim, Assassin's Creed or Breath of the Wild though.

Something similar happened with Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, so it really wouldn't surprise me.
EDIT: For DS3 we never got a full trailer, but there was a leak with a lot of tentative screenshot showing areas, enemies and even mechanics different or removed from the final game.

Yeah, I dont know. I doubt its some huge sprawling open world. Maybe something more like MGSV? Some open areas that lead to more linear places. Like a tower or something.
All I know is, From has done a great job of giving me games I didn't know I wanted. Hopefully they can hit another home run.

Like I said I'll be more than happy for it being Sekiro grade visuals with engine improvements, at this world scope and scale, exploration, builds, everything that made Dark Souls great, and post Bloodborne and Sekiro combat, this is gonna be absolutely incredible.

I still remember the initial Bloodborne leak. It was leaked on 4chan if i recall correctly.
I also recall that leaked sequence lacking some of the polish we saw in the retail version.

I barely remember it, tbh. I just remember thinking it was garbage.
He did not write the story, he wrote the mythology of the world. Miyazaki literally stated in an interview that Martin's contribution was basically a Dungeon Master's Guide to the world of Elden Ring. Man, the people who have never read the interview make themselves really obvious.

The footage is very low quality and easy to fake. Compare it too the Project Beast leaked trailer.
There are also rumours that the footage is over a year old so who knows.
