E3 2021 will return this June in digital form, and has been backed by Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two…

E3 2021 will return this June in digital form, and has been backed by Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Warner Bros and Koch Media.

It's a strong line-up, especially with the two platform holders on-board, however there are some notable absentees, including Sony, EA, Activision Blizzard, Sega, Bandai Namco and Square Enix. The event takes place between June 12 and June 15, so there is still time for other publishers to sign up.

Yeah, EA has been doing their own thing since 2016 and Activision used to have their games playable at the Sony booth instead of having a booth of their own.

They are planning to do another "Square Enix Presents" in the summer, so it makes sense for them to skip E3.

EA sorta does, as they hold their event a few days before E3 officially starts but everyone saw it as their E3 conference.
Acti usually skipped it. Maybe we got some cod trailer but that's it. Blizzard has blizzcon and they do their announcements there.

I know we all love to make fun of e3 and all, but I am glad we get some form of gaming christmas back, with hopefully a lot of cool announcements in a short period of time instead of dragged out small events for months.

Not all big compabies will be there sure, but those announced are still plenty.
