E3 has officially enlisted a trio of well-known video game industry personalities to host the all-virtual global event, taking place Saturday, June 12 through Tuesday, June 15. Greg Miller, Jacki Jing and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez will guide the four-day broadcast, providing expert-level commentary, publisher and developer interviews and much more.

The Doritos Pope is still doing E3 Live on YouTube, right?

Cool, there’s nothing more interesting than someone describing the pre recorded video I just watched to me while I wait for the next pre recorded video to play.

Jesus Christ, when Greg Miller starting talking about PC games being too hard to install all my respect went out the window. You can't be a game journalist and not play PC games, it's like half the gaming scene.

He's good at presenting though, good for him I guess.

Why do we even need a host? Let alone three of them. No one cares about these nobodies. Just drop the announcements and be done with it.
The older I get, the more I wish they'd do that, I like the Nintendo Directs for this reason, just gimme the trailers and a website where I can read more

I'm trying to remember the time Greg Miller hosted that cringe festival of a gaming conference show. I've no idea what year or who's show it was, it might've been E3 I think though. They/he was sitting outside on chunky coloured seats, talking to people in between showings if that helps someone remember.

The cringe part was he was acting insanely over the top, I thought he was actually on uppers, for real, not just in the way that people who don't take drugs would say when someone is really excited. Maybe he ripped/took his shirt off at one point?

Please help me remember so I can rewatch that bizarre event.

edit - Wait! I think XO has come to mind, I'm searching for it now.

He said that? That's straight up, embarrassing. It's like that video of the journalist/reviewer who could complete Cuphead's movement tutorial.

This sounds wild. Never even heard of it. If you find it, please let me know

Diversity quota met, anchored by woke white man. Exactly what is needed to shield yourself from any criticism on the socials.

Will there be a Geoff Keighley one?

His YouTube live streams over the last few years have been the only good ones tbh, he has good guests and lots of demos shown during the show.

Probably among these:

1. They need some hosts to do some quick intros and kill time in case the company streaming has transition issues from person to person (if it's done live)

2. They are planned to do dedicated skits, jokes, and other dumb shit to purposely kill time

3. In between each company's hour long time slot, they need some hosts to fill time to chit chat with viewers or interview anyone

I wish E3 shows were hosted by Steven Wright, it would be easier to get hyped if he was presenting the news in this way:

You wouldn't feel like they are taking the piss with how OTT they sound at least.

This actually makes me not want to watch it. Maybe there will be direct streams for conference holders that will allow people to not be subjected to Greg Miller.
