Yes, that and I’ve seem some wierd shadow flickering. That’s pretty much it. So far this pre-show has been a fun ride. It’s like a roller coaster going up, up, up.

For each camera location I’m more impressed, because they seem to have chosen every new location based on what will come across as more beautiful/impressive.
There's definitely an escalation in beauty as they add new locations. This actually beats a preshow laden with shovelware games no one will buy.

Regarding Valley of the Fallen...

Valley of the fallen...what? I'm not going to have to fight something like that, am I?!

(I'm guessing this is a land with natural bridges or something made of downed creatures or something like that?)
Don't worry, you won't. PS4 won't handle it. And this is a PS4 game all around

water and waves comparison. Water doesnt seem to have that texture, but the waves tech seems to be there.

of course the water wont have the same texture from that distance.

They did ocean a couple of different ways even in the Reveal Trailer. The opening 20 seconds had a lot of trouble with its ocean effects IMO (lots of chunky refreshes and many bits that were clearly textures instead of "waves", although the crashing waves and receding seafoam did look real nice at other times too.) Then when Aloy is on the beach it's that great surf with a wave curl, everything comes together. So hopefully, it's just distance and angle we're dealing with right now.

(Real waves also seldomly curl, and this isn't particularly high surf shown here... pretty, but next time Guerrilla, serve up some ripper waves.)

I'm watching this on an LG 65C8PLA oled and trying to be more optimistic. I'm convinced this is just YouTube's usual live stream compression. Some shots look beautiful and some a bit rough. This might even just be a demo knocked up showing all the areas as a build up not really show casing full capabilites etc.

People are saying captured on ps5, so I'm guessing ps5 version? I'm kinda confused now. Someone catch me up to speed.
Low rez livestream.

Then they release 4K videos, source screengrabs, etc., after and it's usually a night and day difference.

We've been through this on here over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

Don't people get bored of this shit?

Wtf are you talking about? Someone tagged me, I check the notification with a screenshot, and asked a genuine question. Enough with the stupid console warrior mentality. That shit gets really old, really quick. Either you can follow the discussion or not reply. Simple as that.

Because you don't know how livestreams work, nor have been on GAF long enough to know the MO.

The wheels on the buns go round and round...

PS5 version. These are "gameplay" shots on an onrails camera (hence the "in engine" description at the beginning). Very heavily compressed, as seen by the compression artifacts in the illuminated sections of the fog.

The event is supposed to be on PS5 Gameplay.

No footage has been shown yet.

That countdown ended with another countdown of 5 hrs. Sony felt it appropriate to play random in engine scenes during the time.
Thank you guys for the USEFUL information and replies. Yeah cause I was kinda confused as to what I'm supposed to be looking at, like where's Aloy in any of this?

They should just sorta copy Kojima's climbing rope anchors from Death Stranding, but let Aloy shoot them from her bow.

Walk up to cliff face, shoot anchor up into cliff, rope falls down, climb up the rope.

Kojima got player placed rope climbing to work in DS, and it'd work perfectly for exploring and climbing. And fits Aloy's focus on using her bow.
I like that a lot, that’s a great idea

Kojima successfully made climbing and traversing interesting. It’s be good to see somebody put it in a game :messenger_smiling:

Follow along please. Go back and look at the conversation. Several people quoted me, you were the only one to be a dick about things. I'm only going off the screenshots that were presented to me.

You've been on this board long enough, breh. All the info is in the OP and beyond. 🤷‍♀️

I am just being blunt since we go through this every damned livestream. Usually by the same people putting square pegs into round holes.
