I can understand why all will not be shown, apart from Hellblade 2.

Then why bother announcing them so long back? These games were announced like a year a ago. Infact Hellblade was announced 1.5 years ago almost. Gameplay demo is the least they should show even if it isn't long.
Primary reason for announcing games in this manner is for hiring and staffing. With the title out there, they can freely advertise and use the project’s clout to woo talent, as opposed to having to keep interviewees in the dark and sign NDAs.

That's what I've been telling you. They announced perfect dark without having anything substantial, not even a story cgi trailer.

That game is a few years off and it will probably tank.

All of those games are a little meh anyway.

I doubt Fable will be as good as the first two.
Perfect Dark seems to have gone the SJW way.
Hellblade is a cinematic walking sim
My expectations are really low for Avowed and Dragon whatever

So far only Forza, Flight Simulator and Starfield have my attention.
Lol what? PD gone the SJW game? Why? How did you come up with that? They didn't even show a single second of the story.

As I said, if MS comes and just announces new games that aren’t releasing this year then...fuck Next Gen!
Are you serious? You actually expect them to announce next gen games releasing this year? Why? If there were any they would have announced them last year when they had a console to launch. Games aren't announced with 4 months of anticipation unless they are yearly release dates. Games are announced with at least a year before they are released, more likely two years.

Honestly at this point I just want to be surprised. So far nothing has surprised me other than that Avatar game, lmao. So, as long as we see some surprises, that'd be pretty tight.

uses 'M$' - What year is it? Not 2002.
Some of these make sense, but I'm actually surprised that Hellblade 2 wouldn't be shown. I thought they're pretty deep in development on that one.
Lol no they said they want to make the game on unreal 5 and developers don’t even have access to it yet

My predictions:
New Gears 5 content
Halo Infinite
Forza Horizon 5
Starfield
New Doom Eternal Content and Next Gen update
Battlefield 2042
Stalker
Scorn
CrossfireX
Yeah, this seems about right. Nothing new to see here except for Starfield thanks to that acquisition. So it makes you wonder what the fucking has Spencer been doing all these years. It's been like 6 years already and he has nothing to show.

I mean, they just started buying studios in 2018, its safe to say they didnt have the budget before, and most of these studios already had contractual obligations they were forced to meet before developing exclusively for xbox

leads to fear. Fear leads to xbox.
It would matter less if Starfield saves the show
Id agree thought if the logic wasn't stupid, thats like saying "halo infinite saved xbox 2021".... no halo is prob coming out and hopefully its a great game, however you cant neglect the 11+ months with no content at all.

same with starfield, sure it make look great, but if the conference is shitty that shouldnt be the measuring stick. Why have a conference then if there is not more profound stuff to show, its like when sony cancelled their first E3 and said "we'd just show the same stuff as last year so whats the point"

I just want Flight Simulator on Xbox and Age of Empires 4 release date.

Everything else will be a nice extra.

Dont get your hopes up too much concerning hellblade2. I heard it is still made by a team of 30-40 people at the maximum.
i love the first one and I cant wait for the second, but it wont be a god of war killer or something like that

Full of shit! It’s to keep some sort of mindshare going for them as with all companies! Like announcing a movie that’s 6m to a year out coming day and date to whatever streaming service there is! Movie is made already with just finishing touches!

yet going by your way of thinking then no one should be disappointed when said games don’t launch or delayed

I don't know what project dragon is, and the only other one of those I was interested in was Avowed which I figured was super far off.

But what the hell is going on with Hellblade 2?
UE5 and MoCap during COVID while ramping up the Studio after an acquisition... lots of stuff out of their control.

S.N This is more reason why MS needs to focus on building engines that are great in-house. Sony isn't waiting on UE to develop a game. They evolve their own shit.

I don’t like announcing games that are so far off when shit gets bad they hope we’d forgot about them!

Well they just got ID tech so that’s gonna be nice for them to have

They have ID Tech, Forza Tech, Slip Space (only Halo), voidEngine, Creation Engine, and whatever the hell Asobo used to make Flight Sim so damn good looking...

Each of these engines is fairly dev-team specific... everything else is UE

The absence of these games would stop mattering the moment they reveal Starfield lol. Thats all Xbox needs to save their showcase today

So they were announced too early, all too common. I definitely expected Hellblade 2.

Luckily Grubb is here to manage expectations, he is very good at telling us what not to expect and how it will be delivered.
