Looking at the collage of people developing the game. (3:00 mark)
No offense to them, but Ubi needs older people handling the Tom Clancy franchise. Maybe people who have read his books; have adjacent association with the military/combat world.
They just look like your classic young silicon valley hipster crowd.
No wonder the game looks the way it does...

or again, just don't use the Tom Clancy name. Nothing wrong with this game (the idea, design, concept), but let it stand on its own.

Looks awful and I expect it to fail compared to the other big hitters before picking up like For Honor did. Feels like a soulless project geared towards income generation as the only focus

I feel like they slap the Tom Clancy name on anything with guns they put out, yet their most fitting games lately (Far Cry) don't have it. I wish they tried actually doing something similar to the books, but if the series & movies didn't push them towards that probably nothing will at this point

I mean, I like CoD, so the gameplay looks solid enough. The *ahem "punk rock mosh pit" aesthetic can go die in a fire though. Save it for skating games and wacky mashups like Splatoon please.

Even grimdark grey on brown would have been better than the dank paintballer's paradise aesthetic they have going on here. This whole game feels sponsored by Monster Energy. Lol.

this sinks any hope of ubi making good games, for me atleast. beyond good evil 2, skull & bones, and any eventual splinter cell will be watered down micro-transaction-ridden trash like this

It’s free guys. Relax. Plus as some had mentioned. Drop the Tom Clancy shit already. The name of the game is fine. The ,”Tom Clancy” makes it lame.

If Tom Clancy were alive, he would not have let his name be put on this shit.
He actually signed over his name to Ubisoft in 2008 (several years before his death) for use in any videogame product for an undisclosed amount of money.

So yeah, these "Tom Clancy rolling in his grave" comments are a bit off the mark considering he willingly agreed to that deal.

A more accurate statement would be "Tom Clancy's estate wishing they still received royalties from Ubisoft" lol. But I'm sure they're doing fine with royalties from non-videogame mediums, like the Amazon Prime Jack Ryan shows/movies.

I know you just shilling but watch how many modes/features end up in this trashcan of a game that will literally be ripped straight from Fortnite(an actual good game)
Did anyone actually watch the video? This game has absolutely nothing in common with Fortnite. Am I having a goddamned stroke or something? It's a COD clone.

Did you read the post? I said watch how many modes/features end up in it, not that the gameplay is the same. You're right, it's a COD clone too.

It's not JUST that, it's Ubisofts business model.

They have Hyperscape as F2P, now they have this... I'm pretty sure there's another I'm forgetting but on top of that they have AC Infinite or whatever the fuck it is.

They're pushing live service games/games they can fill with microtransactions.

Ubisoft used to be my favourite game company back in the day. AC, Splinter Cell, Far Cry, Prince of Persia...

To see Ubisoft insert their open world template into everything as well as making more f2p garbage and changing one of my favourite franchises to a potentially money leaching game just makes me lose hope

Let me see here,

4 unique factions but the matches are 6v6 and teams are not faction locked, plus you can mix and match gear and skills from other factions

What the hell is the point of having 4 factions to begin with?

The name is awful and easily the worst part of it. Take out Tom Clancy and start from scratch. I wish the characters didn’t look fresh off a woke rally too.

Ubisoft needs a reboot. I wouldn't be surprised if their upcoming Star Wars game is a reskinned Assassins Creed at this point.
I actually wouldn't mind. If it were like an OG AC game with like, you know, assassinating people. In stealth, with force powers and all that. Instead of flashy combat with no weight whatsoever and stupid RPG-lite mechanics.

...but we all know that's not going to happen.
