Hey, this is excellent. Not a game I’m likely to play as it’s not really my thing, but really happy that such a small dev can turn out such a high quality project. Strong couple of weeks for Sony titles.
Returnal wasn't a first-party Sony game until after it was made.Returnal is a Sony 1st party game funded by Sony.
Kena is not funded by Sony. Its a 3rd party indie game.
I inclined to say Returnal was Sony's IP even before the aquisition.Returnal wasn't a first-party Sony game until after it was made.
This game has reached Sony pictures animation level.Y'all need to learn the difference between Pixar, Disney, DreamWorks and so on. yes it triggers me
1st party = published by Sony.Returnal wasn't a first-party Sony game until after it was made.

What? Sony has published games that were released on Xbox under a different publisher. That isn't a Sony first-party game.1st party = published by Sony.
Reminds me a lot of Horizon Zero Dawn which also had laughably bad jumping animation. Erm, in my opinion!

Out in NovemberNo physical release, no buy..
Where there's smoke there's dumpster fire. 6/10 confirmed.
Yeah the double jump animation is rather peculiar, even from the videos it look like they are about to miss half the jumpsI put in 2 hours of gameplay last night, the game is gorgeous and smooth. Love the world building so far and the characters are adorable, Pixar like. The fact that this game is being compared to Pixar movies makes sense, but we all know it's not equal to current Pixar movies (not possible given hardware limitations).
I have a few minor gripes so far, does anyone else find it a bit jarring going from 60fps gameplay into the 30fps cutscenes? Takes me out of the experience a bit, I wish they would've just stuck with in game cutscenes, but I understand that's not possible on the PS4 version. Not the biggest fan of the double jump animation, I know it does the job but in my mind I feel like the motion gives me a sense of I'm going to fall short on most double jump attempts.
Can't wait to play more of it later tonight. Sony has another hit on their hands, I wish they would market this game more heavily.
Yes.To anyone who's playing it, does it play like the old-school action platformers? reminds me of Star Fox Adventures.

Have you seen the 15 minutes credits from Demon’s Souls? It’s not only Bluepoint it’s all the outsourcing and other Sony studios helping. I think around 300 people worked on that remake. Add to that a 100+ orchestra.

I remember Resogun being first-party IP too.
It was just like the IPs Insommiac developed before... all Sony's first-party being developed by a 3rd-party developer.
it gets way harderJust played an hour on PC. The game is ok, a bit easy but decent enough.
