+ New design is cool
+ She's back!
- Looks like Hellena Taylor is gone
- Literally every background they showed is made of grey
- Looks like more of the same

Kinda disappointed, but still day one, it goes without saying

Honestly this game looks worse than Bayonetta 2. I mean look at this trailer:

This is only the intro stage and that trailer shows the whole game! Lol no way Bayo 3 is gonna look worse than 2 but remember,Bayonetta 2 was one of Wii U tech showcases, Bayo 3 comes later and was never gonna be a big jump. Gamers just like complaining about the graphics im more worried about framerate and gameplay(but still optimistic!)

THE QUEEN IS BACK!

Her redesign is god awful and (unless it was edited out for the trailer/direct), her hair powers no longer expose some skin? Really didn't expect Platinum to go hiding from the woke twitter crowd :(
Think I'd have actually preferred it to be an Astral Chain 2 tbh.

I noticed that as well. They better give me outfit options from the first and second game. I don't want to see Bayonetta in that awful outfit the entire game.

It seems this game is focused on controllable big monster battles and I don't want that at all. I prefer the quicktime/cutscene big monster finishes of the past 2 games.

Spent hundreds hours in bayo and was looking forward to bayo 3, but not impressed much.

Just watched 1 and 2 trailers and yes 3 really isn't impressive and totally don't have that same lvl of energy. Maybe there is still chance game won't suck, but for sure that trailer sucks.

I noticed that but im not gonna judge the game based on this early footage, ,sure it could go wrong, but Platinum knows their action games well and i don't see Umbran Climax 😁

They are mixing up the gameplay and thats exciting

These type of games just don't look good on ancient Nintendo tech.

Exactly what I was thinking throughout the trailer. I played this game already in 2009.

Imagine what they could do with this insane character on cutting edge hardware today? It'd be amazing.

I don't have as much faith in Platinum. Bayonetta 1 to this day is still the best game they've ever made and that was years ago. Minus all the flash I consider the combat in 2 a downgrade from 1 and this trailer regardless of being the first stage showed off this Kaiju battle while she is dancing that will obviously be featured a lot in the game and will be what sets it apart from the other 2.

Man for a second there when they slashed the 2022 I thought they were gonna pull a "just kidding, it's out in December of this year !!"

Really happy to see her back, but yeah not a fan of the redesign either and I agree the visuals looked weirdly bad. Given the hardware I wasn't expecting much but I thought we'd get a slight upgrade from Bayo2...but instead it almost looks worse?.

Gameplay looks cool though, seems like having a more active role controlling the summoned monsters will be the big new thing with this one which is pretty cool.

i'm in a pinch, it looks like bayonetta, ma if there's something i elarned with Bayo 2, is that something can look like bayonetta but not PLAY like bayonetta...so i don't know if to give my trust to PG once again after feeling betrayed or wait for some specific content creators to play it and tell me if it's as good as it should

Miyata and not Kamiya in the director chair already worries me

I get your concern, but man im still hyped for the return of Bayonetta, i had a lot of fun with 2 despite its flaws and i have zero doubt 3 is gonna be much better.

Why? For start it has a new director and some new developers behind it, that will give it a new flavor

I enjoyed 2 as well. Lets just hope we don't have a "Ninja Gaiden 3" on our hands.

I find the graphics weird, the color choices, usually the enemies are angels and have white and gold tones, now they are blue and purple. I like the new outfit, don't care if they tone down the fan service, as I always find it a little cringe in the series. Furthermore, I can only hope the game carry on the charisma of the protagonist and the gameplay is solid.

Looks fantastic.
I just wish I didn't suck at Bayonetta.
Memorising combos isn't my strongest point *sigh* Seeing pros play is so demoralising lol

Jeez they actually found a hairstyle that makes me want that goofy beehive do from the original back. =P Looks like more of the same, for better or worse.

Speedwagon

Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel. Yabuki turned off voice chat in Mario Kart races. True artists of their time.
She looks so much better than her past character designs.

As I wrote in the Nintendo Direct thread, my primary issue is wanting to see significant technical advances for the Bayonetta series, rather than sequels that are lateral-to-negligible updates. Watching the trailer a few times, I keep thinking the washed-out appearance, assuming it carries through the game, may be the compromise for slightly improved textures and probably a higher native resolution over its immediate predecessor.

Putting aside visuals, the trailer--with all its giant monsters--did not get me excited for a Beyonetta game. At this point, my interest is very low.

As for Beyonetta's new design, I'm fine with the princess ringlets and most of the outfit, but the peacock-feather skirt is an ugly, chaotic mess. Hopefully the game will offer some better clothing alternatives and not just outfits inspired by Nintendo characters.

Reading these comments you know who is really a Bayonetta fan, Since that is obviously Cereza from Bayo 1. and not Bayo from 1 and 2
xmb17rw8-720.jpg

Didn't notice that.
But just because it's loosely based on the hairstyle of Cereza doesn't mean the design doesn't look bad
