I'm actually quite excited to play through this again. Just a brilliant game IMO and although this should be a free upgrade the price reduction is enough for me to bite one more time.

I'm surprised how hype I am for this release. I was playing cyberpunk (finally after a year and a half waiting for the next gen patch) and now the game is essentially dead to me. It's gtav time baby. Again again.

I am part of the problem, i've bought the game a couple times already and never played it. Which version am i supposed to buy in the MS Store? I see a premium for $20 errr some stupid shark versions. Don't see the upgraded version though???

We'll probably need to wait until next year for that. Rockstar doesn't give a shit about PC.
that really shows the direction Rockstar have gone in. Story/single player mode is an afterthought to them now because they are going all in with GTA Online.
I don't think there will be a new GTA in the traditional sense. Everyone is desperate for "GTA VI" but I am willing to bet that Rockstar will show off a new updated GTA Online instead and then they'll do a new story mode "add-on" which is essentially going to be GTA VI. Apart from Rockstar wanting to milk GTA V dry over three generations I think the reason they've taken so long is that they probably scrapped their original plan for GTA VI and instead put all their effort into a new GTA Online. Anyone at Rockstar working on the story mode will be part of a smaller team.
GTA Online will be F2P and riddled with microtransactions. You can pay $70 for the VI story mode add-on. Of course they'll remaster the game for PS6 and PS7.

Definitely going to play this at 30fps, it will probably feel bad but I already played 100s of hours of it at 60fps on PC. I want to see an actual upgrade in graphics, not just nearly as good graphics as it had when I played it on my 970. Those comparison screenshots are great, looks like a good upgrade.
Glad I can transfer my save as well, will need to reinstall GTA V on Steam just to do that when I get around to playing this.

I am pretty sure that you are not able to transfer your SP save file from PC to console. At least I did not find the corresponding option on the PC version. On the PS4, however, I did. Rockstar has also only talked about the transfer between the consoles PS4 => PS5 / XBone => Series X/S / PS4 => Series X/S => XBone => PS5. Not a word about the PC version.
For multiplayer it would also make absolutely no sense, as that would be a free entry for modded characters.

I understand exactly what you mean, but I'm simply the wrong demographic for what you mean. I'm one of those patient gamers who waits for under 20 sales and bargain bin prices on games, and by the time that happens they're usually fully patched and playable. The only reason I even own Elden Ring is because a friend gifted it to me for my birthday. Truth be told I didn't mind waiting years to buy it(I still don't even own Demon's Souls Remake yet and honestly I had just beat Dark Souls 3 a few weeks ago).
I'm buying this for 10 bucks because it's cheap, but I'm not going to be in line with the rest of the crowd when GTA 6 first comes out. That's the difference.
