There is a chance I'd get Xenoblade 3, but I still have to play 2 and I have Elden Ring and GT7 right now.

Starfield is the only one I feel sure of, but no need to spend a dime on it so ... the rest of the year might be pretty relaxed for me, and based on what I am currently playing, that is just fine with me.

Oh yeah, I will buy the new Turtles game and compilation.

FWIW:

Frame rate is "more" stable and there is slightly less of the occasional environmental pop in for the PS4 backwards compatible version on PS5.

BUT, the PS5 version is more stable (fewer crashes) and loads in half the time. The frame rate on the ps5 version is still the best FROM software performance of a FROM release on a PlayStation console (not including backwards compatibility in this statement basically).

I personally feel the ps5 version is the definitive PlayStation version, but that doesn't invalidate anyone else's opinion.

Source: I have PS5 native version on my ps5 and a sibling on PS5 w/ps4 version and another on PS4 w/ps4 version

That's great to hear, because I know the PS4 ver has less detail as well, and I didn't know it was particularly unstable (I've seen horror stories with the game on PC crashing multiple times, at least early on around release, so I wrote that version off altogether sadly).

I also know the Series X version has the benefit of VRR support, but VRR for PS5 should be going live any day now IIRC, so that won't be a console-specific thing much longer.

I thought I remember someone saying the ps4 version comes with a free pat upgrade but someone else will have to confirm.

None off the top of my head. I havent bought an NHL game since I think NHL 16 (I just wait for EA Access/EA Play), and I'll wait to see Starfield and COD come to GP, which I'm assuming they are.

Maybe I'll split Stalker II with a buddy if that game isnt going on GP.

I’m saving up in May and June. July is my next spending month with Live a Live, Capcom Fighting Collection, and Xenoblade C.3. I also want to collect all the retro mini’s. Lol I’m kinda happy if the next couple months are slow.

I really wasn't planning on playing another Trails game, but what else is there? Slim pickings. A good year to catch up on my backlog and replay some favorites.

God of War is a given. I will also be getting the new TMNT games. Hopefully the Sands of Time remake makes it out this year. Outside of those, I think I have all the games I am interested in; anything else is just going to be a bonus (anything not announced, or games I am not aware of right now.)

It's definitely coming to GamePass, they mentioned it at their June showcase last year.

...Unless something's changed since then. But I doubt such has.

Also reading some of the replies, Project EVE is really set for this year? Damn I forgot; I need that tight firm booty in my life (well, supposing the game is good. Which it should be).

I don't really buy games anymore, so nothing planned but that's not firm; something could catch my eye on sale.

Backlog is huge, many modern games suck due to being entirely uninspired and various subscription services are easy enough to flick on and off for a month if I want something specific.

Only thing I see is Harry Potter, if Darktide was on PS I would get that also but probably going to be awhile till that happens.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 this summer, Forza Motorsport hopefully early October and Starfield in November. Ninja Turtles should be sometime this year as well. That's about all the new games I really want or at least will get around to this year.

I'm neck deep in Game Boy/Game Boy Advance at the moment and will be for some time. Gamepass always has something to play. My Switch always has a backlog growing and my Steam backlog is in the hundreds now.

Outriders Worldslayer (expansion, already pre-ordered, June)
Dying Light 2: Stay Human (expansion, set for June, not official yet though, I own the Ultimate Edition)
Steel Rising (September)
Gotham Knights (October)

If released and will buy -

Evil West (still scheduled for 2022)
Avatar (November/December)
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order 2 (November/December)
God of War Ragnarok (Fall)

Expecting but both will be day one on Game Pass and thus, I won't be buying -

A Plague Tale Requiem
Starfield

Maybe Rage of Dragon or physical version of Sonic Origins. Can't say.

Pretty based. Forgot about this one having being announced some time ago. Never played the original but the OST is very, very good.
