Really hope they bring something more than just straight emulation. These games will look awful as is on a big 4K tv.

As I remember there was a website that listed the most recent games submitted/added to the PSN store. Do you remember the url? Maybe there are more games there.

OMG! Sorry GT7 but Ridge Racers 2 for PSP is the best 2022 racing game of the year.

I think you're the one who's confused. How is this backwards compatibility?
The PSP digital games were crossbuy between PSP, PS Vita and (and the PSP games that were PSOne Classics, PS Mobile and PS Minis) PS3.

If we're lucky they'll add to this list of crossbuy platforms PS4 and PS5. Meaning that if you bought digitally on PSP, PS Vita or PS3 you'd download and play them at no extra cost on PS4 and PS5.

That's how I know i won't play any of them. They are too outdated and will look horrible on a 55 inch 4ktv. PS3 games could have been good but they are streaming only!

Looking forward to see the graphical improvements Jim Ryan hinted at in his recent interview with Famitsu.
Some PSP games are gems (see Ridge Racers) and I would love to see them playable on a big screen not looking awful.
Since we're just a little over a month from the asian launch I think we'll get many new infos in the coming weeks.

Where’s my Tomb Raider 1996 and all From Software PS1/PS2 games?

I do remember playing an old Tomb Raider game back in the day on PC, it had a tiger in it, it was around the times of quake, blood, lands of lore, duke Nukem etc, i remember it being awful, the controls were diabolical.

I hope the console versions were better than that one.

Shaders/CRT filters evolved a lot, hopefully they'll make use of it.

Yeah but still looks way uglier than an actual CRT. Not bad though.

I’ll say this one more time Sony’s confusing backwards compatibility is the worst thing ever.

Time to put your money where your mouth is. All this time people said they want the ability to play old games. If no one's willing to pay for it there's no incentive to bring down the cost.

You’re thinking Tomb Raider II. Those games are wonderful and play like checkers basically. They’re grid based. They’re not for everyone these days for sure but the original one is one of my favourite ever for the isolation, soundtrack and overall mood.

How are the psp games going to play? There is only a single stick.

all of the kings field games with dual stick control added please!

Opposite for me. My Series X is basically my back compat box. Always buy older games when they go on sale.
I guess I’m from a generation that has been there and done that, so I don’t really see the attraction, but I can see it for others. I’d rather have a new Ridge Racer, than play the old one.
