Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Demons Souls Remake
Returnal
Spiderman Miles Morales
Horizon Forbidden West
Gran Turismo 7
Faster Load Times
Better Resoltuion
Higher Framerate
Forza Horizon 5
Halo Infinite
Game Pass and all the games it includes.

How hard is it to grasp this concept?
I see this as an absolute win.

it was probably going to come out in November so it will be a short delay like Horizon Forbidden West.

I dont see Forza Motorsport 8 coming out this year either. So no big AAA games from the big 3 this holiday.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
It's hard to definitely prove a negative but Someone Who Would Know Firsthand just told me they haven't heard anything about a slip to 2023, as did Someone Else Who Might Know Secondhand.

Jason Schrier's contact still says 2022.

Yeah, still 2022. Nothing to see here.

Dont blame work from home. Other software development firms have been just as if not more productive working from home.

This is about more than just covid. Everyone saw this coming after last gen the dev times ballooned but companies did not go on hiring sprees increasing the dev studios. SSM still has the same number of employees it did in the PS3 days.
Fair enough. I was wondering cuz I have a few friend still working from home and they sure enjoy getting paid at doing fuck all.

lol what do they do?

I have my bosses up my ass more than ever if i miss dates. And we are more productive than ever across the board. Especially Software devs.

They did, 2022. Then they said on multiple occasions that the game was still coming out in 2022 despite it not looking like it would due to the complete lack of info.

edit: Correction, they announced it as a 2021 game. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Silly Jim Ryan.

I even remember the clown Hermen Hulst saying something like his game of the year 2021 is God Of War Ragnarok.

so many twists and turns. i bet SSM will come out and deny the delay and say its still coming this year. that should end the speculation once and for all.

Oh yeah i found it

Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Hermen Hulst has chosen God of War Ragnarök as his most anticipated game. Santa Monica Studio's sequel was announced via a brief teaser last September for release on PS5 in 2021, although nothing more has been heard of the project since.12 févr. 2021

WFH is a very hit and miss thing. Some people love it and plow through work. Some treat work hours as family time and are half doing work, half taking care of their kids. Their idea of doing work is when they feel like it even if its at 9 pm. Great for them. Not great if other people rely on them for stuff during core hours.

And when the boss says hey guys it's time to come back to work hybrid style 2 days a week. You choose which days, it's a tug of war to get them back in the office because they've become comfortable sitting at home. They were fine before covid coming to the office 5 days a week like normal, now it's impossible to do. Some people also took advantage of home prices slowing down a bit during 2020 as everyone wasnt in the mood for buying and selling. Now they live 2 hrs away and they tell their boss they cant come anymore because they moved out of town.

For anyone who isnt WFH the whole you'd laugh at the availability. You'd think the avg person is sitting at a home desk all cozy listening to music while plowing through work.

Good luck. Half the time their Outlook symbol is yellow saying Away for 2 or 3 hours during core hours. Who knows where the hell they are.

I said the instant they showed this trailer that it wasn't coming out and that it was a classic early announcent to get people hyped for the ps5 and stop people from going over to Xbox.

They never had any intention of it coming out then or in the near future after. Genuine delays are fine but i thought this was pretty shitty move from Sony here.

IDK (tho i suspect he play on PC as the PC fanboy that he is), but you just don't hype up like this a game that isn't out yet, and even more if you're not 200000000% sure it will be release that year.

And when to comes to hype fans will carry it, as long as the game looks great and promising, which is the case for GOWR.
