4090 is almost here 🥳🥳🥳

I have an incredible CPU but my GPU is utter dog shit of a 1660 TI. Had many opportunities to get a 3090. Glad I waited. Now I am debating whether to grab the 4090 or wait for the 4090 TI refresh...

Probably a dumb question but how much of a percentage of an increase will I be getting jumping from 1160 TI to a 4090 RTX? I heard it's 78% better than a 3090 TI and 90% better than a 3090 so roughly around a 500% or 600% increase in power ? Sorry, I am not a GPU wizard lol. I am sure somewhere here has way more knowledge and understanding than I do when it comes to GPUs technical aspects.

EDIT - Also, is it true the 4090 RTX is the world first GPU in the world to break the 100 tflops milestone? I know the 3090 TI is a flat 40 tflops and the 3090 is 35 tflops.

Good, I'm hardly getting a reaction when I brag about the 3090 I don't have when on twitter.
Just tell me you didn't spend more than $1600 United Murica Dollars on the 3090. And the 3090 is gonna be a beastly card for years to come.

The new offerings from AMD and Nvidia gonna have to be almost godlike to make even consider upgrading from the 6800 XT. Then I might throw that in the living room.

Somehow I suspect my four year old 2080Ti will manage for another three or four years, given the hardware in consoles.

Still....upgrade is enticing for the extra RT perf.

The 1160 Ti doesnt exist. Do you mean the 1660 ti?

A jump from 1660 ti to 4090 would be between 250- 278% in increase

Doubt it. More akin to 52TF.

I'm worried it's not going to fit into my tower. I feel like my computer case is really large and the 3090 I have now just barely fit into the case. It's difficult to tell from leaked photos but the 4090 looks insanely massive. I don't want to have to completely rebuild my PC in a new case just to use it. I'm praying its the same width as the 3090, just longer.

waiting for 3 things

1- price
2-availablity
3- white color.

However, I believe its going to be around 3000$ CAD range or little less after tax. I do not think scalping will be easy. not many people are willing to spend that much money easily.

I was going to grab a 4080ti when it came around, that's been the plan for ages as I've ungraded every second gen. Honestly though I haven't really had any trouble running anything at all with the 2080ti I have now and likely won't for the nest couple years so I might just hold out a couple more years.
