first up yeah jut because of post history doent mean squat, so you used to be PS player but now Pc

second you can own a console and call out the other and still be right and not engage in warring.

thirdly you have a history of being in xbox threads just to war.

it works both ways buddy, I think some of you posts are valid at times and some just go into console warring.

you ok though I have seen worse on here lol
I've always been a PC player since the 90s.

Second, yes, we have preferences for certain games and devices, like everything in life. You can't hide from that reality.

Third, I am barely in Xbox threads. Unless you think every topic is about Xbox. Ones I do is where there is some laughable shit.

You're right, it does work both ways.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
I spend more time on my PC than my PS5. /shrug

We all have our post histories and reactions.

Everyone has struggled to gain traction in cloud gaming. It's not even clear that cloud gaming is ever going to be a large market.
As for PC, MS have failed to leverage Windows for decades, it's an open platform and consumers are smart enough to choose the services that provide the best value and the best ecosystem. I would hazard to guess that owning Windows has been a detriment to MS attempts to get in to PC gaming.
I think the big takeaway here is the way Phil talks about Sony and Nintendo. It fits in with Sony's "tech giant" narrative as Phil basically says Sony and Nintendo are gnats, MS is looking to compete on a higher level.

That's all assuming COD goes away. I'm pretty sure it's obvious what needs to happen at this point.
Yeah I don't know when this was written up but MS offering a 10 year agreement sure isn't what I would call "short term"

Plus I find some much of this ironic that PS says MS could hurt consumers because MS could increase console prices after Sony did that very thing and MS is offering sales

I saw it more like Microsoft can afford to take the hit due to their financial backing. Pretty sure if inflation wasn't an issue Sony wouldn't have increased the price in the first place.

These are lawyers. Both sides are have some clown world dingers. It's what lawyers who rep companies do.

Seems to be October 28th.
They proposed the 10 year deal like 2 weeks later, so it makes sense that they only have the 3 year deal part in it.
These as well.

Basically I wouldn't exactly put the blame on the price increase because Sony is taking advantage of their position as market leader. It's fine if a company wants to make a profit off hardware. It just seems like Sony increased the price to maintain that profit.

Historically Sony keeps redesigning the hardware to lower the cost of production. At a certain point the cost is lowered enough that they give the product a price cut. Same would have happened here but costs for everything is increasing. And this is an issue that's affecting everything from food to car parts. Heck even my toilet paper is substantially more expensive than before.

MS is also increasing prices in certain territories, and have been. People just don't talk about it because the world only revolves around "the west" in their brains.

Not everyone. There is one company quietly experiencing exponential growth in the cloud space and Microsoft in particular are refusing to play nice with them for this very reason.

But it is interesting to see that statement from Phil regarding Google and Amazon come back to bite him in the arse.

Just watched Shillups latest video and he suggests that Microsoft is against the ropes on this deal happening. Is that accurate lol? Haven't been following this saga closely. I find his takes on other topics questionable so I'm guessing this is another case of that.

Are they legal (merge and acquisitions) experts?

if this deal falls through, could Microsoft use the 70 bill to buy exclusive rights to all of activisions games over the next 20 years lets say? is that something that could happen? Activision would remain indipendant then. is there a fear of that type of stuff happening
Yes but financially would it make sense if they aren't getting the money from candy crush, diablo Immortal, and only 30% from the lower selling console exclusive games? No, no it wouldn't.
