I bought it on steam , i'm still unsure if i should ask for a refund and get it on ps5 , my pc is 5600x 3060....what would you guys do?
You would probably have similar performances but on pc it cost way less and you can tailor the settings to your liking.

On console you have to eat what the dev prepared for you.

Ps5 will probably 4k plus heptic feedback..with the 3060 i'll probably have to go to 1080p for best performance

Dude i can do 4k30 with a damn 2070super, you can probably do the same with a 3060.

you have to scale down settings but the ps5 version sure as hell doesn't have pc ultra settings neither.

Just saying.

So i'm guessing you got it on steam too!?
Origin, i think that even the steam version has to pass through origin to play.

But i'm waiting to build the new pc in a couple of days before trying the game, no more 2070super and compromises for me:lollipop_grinning_sweat:

I was talking on general, a 2070super can do 4k30 in 99% of games, and this one has dlss i think.

You can't trust people who doesn't enjoy cutting limbs and stomping heads, they are basically inhumans.

Think I’ll grab this on the X. Launch day hype is getting to me. Dead Space, HiFi and Goldeneye sounds like a comfy weekend.

Wonder if i can manage 4k60 with a 3600xt and 2080s +32gb ram. Obviously with dlss and some compromises...

For 4k30 id just buy the ps5 version since my living room tv is bigger

Ok played up to the same point on both PS5 and PC (4090).

PC
- Looks pin sharp and runs smoothly at around 60-80fps no upscaling and 80+ upscaling and all settings to Ultra.

- Only RTAO which makes shadows and edges of rooms look more dense but the standard mode is also great.

DUALSENSE - NOT SUPPORTED, not even basic rumble either wired or wireless (didn’t try DSX) but no haptics , no resistance triggers and NO basic rumble HUGELY disappointing.

PS5
- Runs well in 60fps mode but has VERY strange dithering artefacts and looks lower than 1440p I’d say more like something in between 1440 and 1080p has strange blurry effect.

- 30 FPS mode doesn’t look 4k to me either, looks more like 1440p, motion blur is decent but of course it’s 30fps and looks great standing still but a mess in movement.

AUDIO

- Make sure to go into the menu and turn 3D audio on under audio as it defaults to stereo , it’s the best sounding game I have played on both PC and PS5 simply incredible.

What will I play?

PS5, I’m a sucker for haptics resistance triggers and I just got a DS edge so stasis on one paddle and X on the other means I don’t have to take my finger off the triggers much - this does port over to PC as the profile saves to the controller but no rumble or haptics for Dualsense is a dealbreaker for me, let’s hope for a patch soonish for that.

I’ll replay on PC for visuals if I want to after.

Also it’s on ea play pro.

Maybe it supports it on the steam version? Dualsense.. pretty fucking scummy otherwise

Anyone able to tell me / show me what the audio settings are on the pc version?

I'm curious if it supports dolby atmos.

Oh man, this is even worse than The Callisto Protocol:

Framepacing is all over the place constantly, even if you're just standing and doing nothing. Constant stutters too. It's doesn't matter whether it's 1440p or 4K with DLSS 2.5.1. The game needs very serious optimization patches. It's simply not playable as of right now.

My Specs:

Windows 11 22H2
8700K @4.8GHz
32GB 3600MHz RAM
3070 Master
PCIE Gen 3 x4 with 3500 read speeds

At least CPU utilization is great, which can't be said about TCP at all.

This is how you do remakes. Playing on the X, love it.

One thing I did miss was the snark at the start between Daniels and Zach...

And the suit voice telling you the controls. Other than that, perfect.

I played this game at 60 frames when I bought my Series X at launch. I love this game but I am looking forward to anything fresh that this remake brings to the table. Hope it doesn't feel too similar.
