I just watched this live and I'm absolutely blow away.

They also showed that you can now motion capture your own face/faces for meta human using your Iphone. Which is fucking insanity.

It looks more like realtime cutscene cinematic then in-game. Previous gameplay trailer showed that in-game facial expressions looked far less then the first cinematic trailer.

That's some nice face rendering.

In the last showing her face looked downgraded compared to the very first trailer where she was having a seizure, but now it looks even better than that trailer.

This is how nextgen faces should look, it looks NOTICEABLY better than tess from tlou remake (by far the best face in that game)

It look almost as good as the best ue5 metahuman demo i saw.

I think you are ignoring some of the quirks of this character. Girl has some issues, that's part of the story.

It always cracks me up how they wanted to move away from AAA with Hellblade and talked about making smaller AA titles, and talked about the problems of big budgets, and then when they got some money they immediately went for AAA as fast as possible.

This looks more like a target render for reference. There's no effin' way that's in-game real-time stuff which we'll see in the game out-side of pre-rendered cut-scenes, which I'm sure won't be at this quality and in native 4K along with the assets. We're loooooooooong ways off from this running in real-time during actual gameplay and in native 4K on consoles especially.

So while this looks great, I would be more impressed if they had given us like 15 minutes of actual game play and puzzles. That is the most important part IMO.

The fidelity is amazing but the animations are kind of off, like they are trying too hard to convey exaggerated emotions.
That being said thankgod we are finally getting true next gen games pushing graphics forward.
